Unfortunately the switch has gone bad and I have to park it in the middle and use the volume controls to switch between pickups.

Yup, very light guitars (they're quite hollow). And the tone actually is a bit hollowquitar-like.

Members Edward
I've long loved the look and vibe of Danos. Not a fan of the Longhorns at all, but all the rest have an appeal. I love the look of the Hodad (reminds me of a Mosrite, and I'm sure the similarity is no coincidence). Also a big fan of the squared off Pro model. One of the coolest I ever saw was a run that Holiday Music in Leytonstone, East London (since moved further out to somewhere not so accessible to those of us who don't drive) had years ago. They specialise in, among other things, southpaws, and always kept an amazing stock of lefties. They modified a bunch of lefty U2s to have a resonator cone in place of the bridge pup... great guitars. Alas, couldn't afford one back then... Always kick myself that back when I moved to London in 1999 I didn't buy that salmon pink U2 reissue for GBP150 new (I think that fist 90s reissue was the only lefty model Dano ever did). I wanted a Dano, but for some fool reason I decided I would prefer to wait and "fill out my collection" with "a classic" first. Now that I'm so, so over both humbuckers and Les Pauls, I still kick myself for that.

Members Danhedonia
You say "Hornet," Google says "Dead On '67 Reissue." Who knows? Not me. I just know that as I was shopping cabinets, it caught my eye and the pickups were absolutely fantastic - amazing sounds. $150; sold. Just got it Tuesday July 3rd.It's in ok shape - nothing unplayable, but the vibrato was just a rivet and flops like a dead fish. Which is alright; it actually does an upward gliss well, which is something I like to do. And there are a few cosmetic flaws. The things that have floored me besides the pickups are that the bridge actually seems to work - I mean, that just looks so sketchy, but the intonation is spot-on perfect. And the fretboard is an aircraft carrier deck: 14" radius! 1.65" at the nut ... and a profile that would make an Ibanez product manager proud: it's thin. Action's too fast; there's a tiny buzz on the 4th fret when I restrung with 10's, I'll think about going to 11's or doing a teensy turn of the truss rod (next to no relief at the moment) once it settles a bit.
