Members TrickyBoy
I've said before that we do Royals by Lorde and it works really well for us. Well, I finally got a video of it. Here you go.
Members sventvkg
I couldn't figure out how that song could work because of the way it sounds on the record but you guys rock it up and it kills!!
Members Vito Corleone
cool arrangement!
Members StratGuy22
Looks and sounds great. Man what a crowd!!!
Members FitchFY
I love that song - beautiful in it's simplicity, so I always stayed away from it for the club bands, but as usual, you guys arrange it nicely and play it great! Stellar.
Members wheresgrant3
This brings a BIG smile to my face! Jay my boy... this is brilliant and you guys rock it! Smart, catchy and stripped down. The barre chords sound pretty thick and the bass bottom end rounds it out. Kudos!
Members musicmanmu
Sounds awesome! Now I'm starting to rethink the way we do ours! LOL. We don't have a gig until May 9/10, but I'll see if I can get the wife to video our version of the tune. Well done! Love the guitar tone here. Members TrickyBoy
Thanks guys. Funny thing about how I came up with the main "groove". Meagan and I kept getting requests for it when we played acoustically, so I just sat down and whipped out that little riff real quick and figured "eh... good enough". The crowd reaction was great, so we put it together with the full band at soundcheck for our next show. Again went over great.
Members nousername
I'll be "borrowing" this arrangement. Thanks...
Moderators Lee Knight Posted April 30, 2014 Moderators Share Posted April 30, 2014 I saw these guys the other night opening for Eric Hutchinson... Simple arrangement that rules with electrics LOUD. Simple seq bass and drums.
Members Ambugaton
We do this song as well, a bit more like the original but we add in some additional guitar riffs with heavy reverb... but I bet it would sound great to have a little build up towards the end and bust out something similar to this version. Sounds great! I can't wait to live in a populated area again. Nice crowd.
Members jeff42
we have been trying to work up something similar. just have to get together and jam it out. Now I have something to show the other guys. Thanks!
Members TrickyBoy
Best part of that video that I forgot to mention, Meagan's over 5 months pregnant in it.
Members vort
In the spirit of sharing, here is our version. Goes over pretty well. Would have posted sooner but didn't have a recording. This track was recorded live at a gig last Saturday on an X32 compact, and mixed amateurishly in Reaper:

Members musicmanmu
Took a while, but got a less-than-stellar vid of our take on Royals. Sorry for the horrible picture. This was at soundcheck and the lights weren't turned on yet. Not our best rendition, but you get the idea.
Members Kramerguy
HOly Crap Tricky! Well done!
