It reminds me of the BE that does the constant "tweaking" and does not pay attention to the actual mix. It seems that applies to everything in society in these busy modern times.

Back in the analog days the BE wasn't focused on a screen - he/she was crouching down to tweak a rack effect or frantically digging behind the console to figure why the inserts weren't working. Losing sight of the mix is nothing new at all.

But whatever they needed was right there in the rack (mine lived to the right of the master section) and it was grab & go rather than hunt and peck and page and scroll.

"Hey where's the monitor guy?!!"

"oh, he's just ringing out the drummer's monitor. He'll stand up pretty soon" ;)

You'd be surprised how fast you can get to everything on a digital console, once you've learned where everything is and got it set up for your application. Not really that different than having to set up an analog console and rack in a useful configuration.

So I mark the forum read, and when I come back, every thread is unread again. When I go to a thread I have already read, it go to the first post in the thread instead of the first new one. I can't live with that. Tell me where I can correct that immediately. It kills wanting to come here and read anything. So far, no advantages, and lots of disadvantages. Feels familiar...

Stand up? I always stood and looked myself. I do understand that once you get accostomed to many digital consoles and get it configured, it's not all that bad BUT how come that's not (often) what I see. Some consoles take a lot more work than others, especially the configuring part, and when software revision levels are not identical, loading up from USB stick is not always seamless (had that happen on an M-7 last week, caused some real head scratching.

I did that and on my next visit every thread was new again. Also every thread I already read made me start at the first post when I open it. I don't go to the first new post, I have to read them all. It sucks,

Worked fine for me, did you wait for it to finish? Took a few minutes for me but that was before they got all the servers up. Also when you click on a topic, don't ;) . Click on the symbol just to the left of it which will be a very slightly darker shade if there are unread messages in the thread. You'll have to look really closely to perceive the difference

^ So good it needs to be in triplicate apparently LOL

My mistake. I posted the first post, and nothing seemed to happen. I figured I didn't do something correctly (maybe held my mouth wrong)... so I clicked "Post Reply" again... and noticed a yellow box at the top of the screen that said "working"... so I sat and watched the "working notice" working for 10 seconds or so... deduced something must be up, so I went and got myself a Dr. Pepper... came back... up-posting was still "working"... nothing had seemingly changed... so I went and washed my Chevy motoring car, and washed the winter munge off my driveway and company parking lot... then fired up my skidsteer loader and helped the neighbor (he had his wheel tractor with maintainer blade out) doctor up some of the potholes on the gravel streets through town. After that I came back to the computer screen... the "working" notice was still seemingly notifying me that the site was working on up-posting my post... I figured the site was stuck in a do-loop or something with my post... so I exited out, logged back in, and re-posted... and was seemingly back at square one with the "working" notice... so Liz and I took the Chevy motoring car out and had dinner... all we cared to eat seafood like substance buffet at an area casino (and was reacquainted with the plausibility that late winter at a bingo hall in N. Idaho isn't a likely spot for a critically acclaimed seafood dinner). Came back... and saw that I'd triple posted.

Guys: It will take a few more days for many bugs to get worked out. You unfortunately cannot test load until you have ... well, load.

So, we are correcting things live. Believe me, the hiccups you are experiencing will not persist. They will be addressed. In the end, you will have a lightning fast user experience.

Remember, we are in here participating in the community. We tire of time outs, and the like as well! :)

Give this time. We'll get it! D

Working pretty good this morning. Still have the "phantom second page button" thing going on - often at the lower right it shows a second page button but if you click on it you end up still on the first page and the page buttons disappear.
