that is one of the SEXXXIEST G&L strats i have ever seen.....love the binding/antique white finish/tort guard/rosewood board combo:thu:

The finish is actually pearl white- it's kinda cream-coloured, but depending on the light you get a little turquoise or pink in it

...but you're not wrong, it's a beautiful guitar with tonez to match.

Unfortunately, it's my birthday present, so it must stay in the wardrobe for another 86 days

Co-pilot, your SC-1 is a wicked guitar.

Thanks man, it's such a lovely guitar. It took years to find one, and the shipping/tax to England was {censored}ing astronomical, but it was well worth it.

Sometimes I just sit and look at it.

Definitely a really unique and cool guitar. I much prefer those to the reissues, I love the control plate on it. Has it got the old thin G&L neck profile?

To be honest I'm not too up on the different G&L specs, but I played a Tribute ASAT on Denmark Street the other day and it had a thicker neck than the SC-1.

The SC-1 neck is just right for me. You can't play tech-shred on it, but as I don't play tech-shred it's not really an issue.
