Members ben_allison
"When one breaks." That would have been a good option for the poll.
Members BHz_econo
Every year. The ones on my strat have been on there for over a year now.
Members NetStar
When the discharge gets too much and it starts to smell or when I'm on my period, or whichever comes first. Usually the former.
Members Iamtehcure
used to change em every 3-4 weeks on all my guitars. Switched to elixirs and now I go maybe 2 months. I'll still throw new ones on if I play a couple gigs close to each other.
Members whiteop
when playing professionally probably every week. Now just playing on the worship team probably every few weeks or once a month.
Members BTBAM
Yea...I change when I feel like I want a new pair on or when a string breaks. And these aren't just sitting inside not getting played either. I gig and practice with them regularly, although not as regular as Bobby D or Robo or someone may. Members MrChrisos
Every 2-3 weeks if I'm gigging regularly, on quiet patches such as this when I'm recording it can get up to a couple of months.
Members conky
My main guitar gets changed about once a week, but my backup gets it about every month. The others get changed every few months depending on how much play they get.
Members fourfingered
Whenever I break one, but I clean them before and after I play my guitar religiously so they staypretty fresh for a long time.

Members TomCTC
I love squeeky nice strings. I used to have the hook ups with SIT to get boxes of strings for cheap, and I used to change them everytime the slick shiny feeling went away (which in the case of SIT was fairly often. Garbage strings..) But now that I'm back on D'addarios, it's once a month-ish.
Members Mind_Riot89
Every few months, can be up to 6 if I'm not gigging much.I managed to select every few weeks by accident since I had to keep refreshing the poll to get it to work. FACEPALM!
Members jhamnett
Bout every month, kinda just wait until I feel that it needs new ones.
Members nychthemeron
I haven't changed the strings since I first got the guitar over a year ago. They still stay in tune pretty well (except that damn G which will always start out over 20 cents lower or higher). I should replace them soon, I mean I do have a 10-pack of fresh D'addarios. Members AnderMocs
I have a rag that I wipe the strings down with when I'm done. Gets a little more life out of them. Also, paper towel with a little rubbing alcohol, wrap the string with the paper towel and pull it up and down the string. Takes all kinds of disgusting off of them. Usually every 3 weeks, unless I break one. Which isn't all that often. And always before a gig. Play em hard to get them stretched out so they hold tuning better.
