Members Raintes
I find myself tempted by the bright cap mod almost daily.wut? How do I go about doing this mod? And would it really make a HUGE difference if I were to switch to the almighty alnico blue for my ac15c1? I don't gig but I do jam around with my pals 3 times a week. Is it even worth it for a player like myself to do such mods?

Members frenchji
Depends on preference... I might be weird.. but like I said.. I prefer the greenback to the blue.. so.. things might be different for you as well..
Members echodeluxe
im surprised at how many "meh" responses im getting based on how good it sounded when i played it...
Members brandnewzo
I don't think there's anything meh about the AC15. It's a great amp for the price, and I'd buy another in a heartbeat if I had to do it all over again.

Members Taylor.
im surprised at how many "meh" responses im getting based on how good it sounded when i played it... I love mine, I've had good results with the Top Boost channel and pedals (Timmy, Rat, Green Muff). Normal channel is super dark and doesn't have hardly any headroom at all, so I almost never use it. Top Boost though =
Members jhamnett
My girl's dad has one and it sounds awesome. Especially good with an OCD out in front. So... buy it.

Members ollenorin
Hmmm i always thought the blues were better than greenbacks in a vox
Members fetch
Great amps I really liked my old modded CC1 too! I had a really old AlNiCo speaker in thurr and it sounded a million bux. The reverb was moved to the the back of the chassis and I had a tone-pot installed there as well as some other options similar to what the C1 turned out to be.Only thing I suggest you do if you're serious about getting one is trying out a Crowther Hotcake with an AC15! Soooo good and even better stacked with a FD2
Members gypsyfireman
brite cap mod. Instantly better with pedals. Google it - there should be a long thread at both hcaf and tgp on it. Worth your time, especially using pedals!

Members Robert Kortus
I've had mine for two years now, and still love it. It's definitely time for some new tubes though.
