thanks. but the guy using the RV-5 isn't me:rolleyes:
I brought the idea, and he started playing that stuff.

RV-5 doesn't get much love here, but it's pretty decent for ambient stuff.
I think almost any pedal has it's own way to be used:thu:

i have yet to try the spring king. only issue for me i can see is size.

I have the Spring King right now, and a Holy Grail on the way. I love spring reverb something fierce, so I'm going to do a side-by-side comparison and see which is best.

Initial feelings about the Spring King are mixed...The first day I got it, I was disappointed. The second day, I thought it was actually pretty good. At times, it is too sproingy, moreso than traditional spring reverbs (I have an original blackface Twin Reverb, which is what I'm comparing it to). At first the exaggeration annoyed me, but now I'm starting to appreciate the flava. I'm more disappointed that the crash pad isn't as dramatic as I thought it would be. I was hoping for really big, dub-style reverb thunder rumbles.

So the expression pedal is sort of pointless?

I was thinking about getting one to active the 'twist' function and use the second pedal as a tap-tempo. But your experience may have saved me some cash. Thanks!

the expression pedal can be set to control 3 or 4 different parameters.

Word up. For instance, you can set the expression out to control Intensity, so your feet can control both delay time and feedback at will.

Which is pretty effing sweet.

Can I use a volume pedal as expression pedal, by the way?

im sure you could find plenty of use for the expression pedal, but i couldnt. it was fun but in the end i dont need control to that depth. dont let that sway you. if you want it for the twist function its kinda arbitrary because you can already do the same thing with the tap switch, and you cant tap out a tempo when you are using twist anyway.

my advice would be to try it out first.
