Members tape Posted June 14, 2010 Members Share Posted June 14, 2010 new SLR week!just upgraded from the XD-SG (left) to the XD-11 last week, since I've been doing a lot of film lately. considered by most to be one of minolta's greatest full manual SLR! it's like the 5D of the late 70s. at that time minolta and leica collaborated a lot. I think minolta designed the body and leica the metering system on this one.advantages over the other one are a much better metering system, shutter priority along with A and M modes (a rarity back then, it was the first with both aperture and shutter priority, according to wiki), DOF preview, EV compensation, multi-exposure, nicer viewfinder, all metal construction, {censored} yeah!popped a roll of fuji provia 400 a few days ago. can't wait for first results! got a 28mm 2.8 and a 50mm 1.4 on me at all time!
