Thanks Patrick.
I was really impressed by your take  . I always enjoy the wet guitar/spacey type takes. What's the speaker in the Marshall cab? G12T-75?
V30?

I wanted to post an individual reply to each one....

Me... Nice tone, nice take, really pretty good all around.

PhilBelanger... Great tone, nice playing, sounds good

Syrnett... Another good tone, harmonic tapping - cool

Bob Savage... and video - Very cool, made it look easy in the video :)

leadfootdriver... sweet, very Satriani-like, like the hammering

Myron Stratis... very melodic, nice legato phrasing, sort of a Beck-like sound with the vibrato bar

J.B... I like that overdub harmony thing you did, cool

Whackmaster63... like the use of the melodic minor, very out there

acousticvoodoo... appropriate, good take, hope you are doing ok after Katrina

Digital Jams... used some minor pentatonic stuff in there in a nice way

Patrickjp... like the spacious sound, nice harmonics/whammy bar, delay with whammy bar

n0fx... tasteful playing, I like that you get a theme going and expand on it

'63-Strat... Round tone, soulful playing - good

Kelly Anarchy... good take, some nice runs in there

Killer take bro, did not know you were one with the bar as well, cool stuff.

.

LOL, I love the soaked signal once in a while!!
I guess the "real man's guitar" has been my backup for the past few months haha.. time to bust it out!
I'm not much of a whammy guy, matter of fact.. I think they're an easy copout for solos IMO. Run out of ideas in mid solo? Grab the bar! :D
They are alot of fun tho, I gotta admit.
thanks big time brother for the kind words icon14.gif

nofx- just checked out your clip, I thought it sounded very cool. Like the chordal accopanyment you were workin in there!
63- that was an interesting tone, very juicy & thick! I liked it!
Kelly- I think you may have your signal a little too hot but nonetheless, nice effort!icon14.gif

Okay... got a chance to listen to everybody's:

Randy Van Sykes: Great TONE and very nice phrasing man!

Phil Belanger: I really dug your intro and whammy stuff

Syrnett: Nice smooth tone and laid back feel

Bob Savage: I really dug 2:04 until the end... especially 2:04-2:14!

Leadfootdriver: Super playing as usual with some very original lines in there! TriAxis?

Myron Stratis: WOW! Dude you have... FEEL! TONE! PHRASING!

J.B.: Dang it... it was too short... I wanted more in a bad way  Don't do that to me next time! :D

Jazzbo: Wow... nice use of outside notes and original sounding sequences!

Whackmaster63: I really like your whammy use in the middle... really nice stuff!

acousticvoodoo: Cool spacey vibe with nice use of effects that keep me interested beginning to end and ther vocals were great... you had me singing along ;)

Digital Jams: Glad to know that you're able to play guitar again... looking forward to more clips from you my man...

Patrickjp: I liked your tone a lot. Your technique is flawless man! Loved it!

n0fx: I really dug 1:06 onwards... nice interplay with the backing... very enjoyable!

'63-Strat: 1:34 onwards rips! Your bends give me goosebumps! Dug the tone too.

Kelly Anarchy: Keep it coming... liked your melodies

Flat Fifth Fury: That was some really solid playing man... total package... tone, technique, feel, phrasing (as with others mentioned above)... awesome talent on this board!

Thanks to you all for the 45 minutes of listening pleasure! :)

Please excuse the gratuitous feedback in the beginning... it's a carry over from my recording session in a studio last night (where it just wasn't coming out).

Very cool take!
There's some very interesting stuff going on in there! :)

BTW...thanks for the kind words.

Sounds great. Harmonies are always cool. Now please record a Vinnie Moore tune because i feel that you have a similiar tone to him.

Thanks Dan... I actually used a Vinnie Moore lick in a solo for one the songs my band recorded in the studio Monday night :D I LOVE Vinnie Moore... in fact I'm going to watch his instructional video again today (it's been 4 years since I seen it last). I pick from my elbow because of him and I'm sure you can hear a little bit of the Vinman in this clip.
