My Uncle Al left me his old POLYTONE MINI BRUTE, 100 watts, 12 inch speaker, indestructible!!from about 1969 or 1970, but i'll never know. I wish Polytone had a serial number guide that could date our vintage amps.

The SWR Baby Blue is still messed up...smoke came out of the speaker, but I have a Peavey TNT Bass amp that totally Kranks!

 at you bumping a thread that is almost a year old.

I have to say for a practice amp this little vox of mine is the single most outstanding 5 watt tube I have ever heard, bar none, and with a processor in front it can do absolutly anything, My amp tech actually wanted to rent it from me for recording, only the second one he had ever seen, vintage '65

And for my main head I have to say my 50watter does it for me :thu:
Vintage amperex tubes in the pre amp and vintage Telefunken in the power section, For me it doesn't get any sweeter
