Love V30s for most everything I play But there's nothing like a celestion blue in a vox type amp And K100's and Greenbacks mate perfectly with British style amps to my ears. Members thefallacy Posted July 14, 2011 Members Share Posted July 14, 2011 wow I popped in here at the wrong time...I use Vintage30 as I also use an old dinosaur of a modeling amplifier...I was under the impression that V30 gave the most neutral output for that application. Not that it matters now, I pretty much have it dialed in to one or two sounds anyway now...and never used it just becuase it could sound like a marshall or a vox or a recto or whatever anyway, just flexibility/utlility in tone. I wish I had put GH12 in the extension cab, but wasn't sharp enough at the time. If I get to playing in a rock band again, I might just switch 'em out and/or maybe ask for opinions on the greenbacks as I hear a lot about them here.
