welcome back Terry. Refrain from the personal attacks and we'll get along just fine. BTW, how about calling me by my chosen moniker as a goodwill gesture?

Gosh, I would be honored to accept your magnificent offer to be allowed to "get along just fine" with a liar, homophobe, hypocrite, crybaby or fool...and most wonderfully of all, with you, it's be all 5 for the price of 1!

Alternately, how about going back to PP and taking your verbal pollution out of this (relatively) untainted forum permenantly...call it a goodwill gesture.

Remember when your mother said "You boys take that outside!"?

Welcome back to Terry.

And for the many who have offered him moral support in this thread: the individual whose complaints led to TAH being banned has been banned on several occasions for trolling in the past.

DC's game of "bait 'n bitch" actually got its intended consequence this time, is all.

Uh, er, well... this has been great but considering you don't usually hang out here... umm... unless you're planning on staying to talk about guitars and stuff... is it about time we take this back to PP?

Ellen

It's not his fault Ellen, he can't help it. TAH makes him post here. I'm sure he'd leave if he could. He can't want to be mocked like this. But the poor guy just has no control over his own actions. He's just TAH's puppet.

This thread involves me. I've not started any threads on this forum and I've not taken my comments beyond the two threads that were started about this situation. You're free to not read it and the mods are free to lock or delete it.

Welcome back Terry. The trolls were throwing a huge celebration over your banning. It was like Mardis Gras for morons in here.

Maybe they will pack up their 3 ring circus and go troll somewhere else.

I thought I'd mosey over to the PP forum to see what goes on over there. The first thread I opened was "What's so bad about socialism?". Fascinating! The name-calling is pervasive. I finally came across a post by Mr. Duck, complaining - you guessed it - about someone calling him a name (his very first post in the thread!). Someone responded to his post with a picture of a box of Kleenex. Mr. Duck appears to be a rather enigmatic personality: he hangs out on a caustic internet forum where obscenities and name-calling appear to be routine, but is very sensitive to being called names. And he apparently isn't planning exit AG until his honor is restored.

Didn't they use to settle stuff like this by dueling?

I like to engage in political discussion. Thing is..I like to do it in a respectful, civil fashion. Dblazer and I have had a couple very intense discussions where we have vehemently disagreed yet we still like and respect each other. What I have little time for is the Jr. High antics of name calling, insults and deriesion. As a conservative poster on a overwhelmingly liberal forum I expect a fair share of it. Look at some more of my posts. I'm really a decent guy. RKW posted this when i was banned for a day (for posting silly threads  )

DUCK COMMANDER

The very name conveys so many things to so many people. Statesman, intellectual, professor, adversary, outdoorsman, blowhard, and weasel.

But more than anything, to me, he was a fellow HC forumite.

And what a happy camper! He loved us with the passion and the devotion that encompassed his life. He taught us to believe in ourselves, to stand up for ourselves, to know ourselves and to accept responsibility for ourselves.

Because we knew Duck Commander we were the luckiest bastards in the world. And we had done nothing to actually deserve it. It was instead something that we would have to spend the rest of our lives to work very hard to live up to.

He gave us a lot of tools. We were taught to take nothing for granted. He doted on us but didn't indulge.

Many people say he didn't suffer fools gladly, but I'll have you know he had infinite patience with us.

He encouraged us to push ourselves, to test limits, to challenge anyone and anything.

There were certain basic principles that he would never allow to be compromised.
I'll always remember when I once lost my patience with Evilguitarmonk and lashed out with my keyboard. Duck Commander looked at me sternly with that look I would learn to know so well, and said: "RKW, never attack the individual. One can be in total disagreement with someone without denigrating him as a consequence."

Saying that, he stood up and took me by the hand and brought me over to EGM and said, "Watch and learn" as he deftly administered a perfect wedgie maneuver. As EGM hobled away Duck Commander turned and said, "You see, he will heal and get over the wedgie, but had I cut his soul, he'd forever be wounded".

Later when EGC spoke to me via private message in that sleazy, friendly manner of his and it was then that I understood that having different opinions from those of another person in no way precluded holding this person in the highest respect.

Duck Commander believed that mere tolerance is not enough: we must have true and deep respect for every human being, regardless of his beliefs, his origins and his values. That is what Duck Commander demanded of us his fellow forum members and that is what he demanded of his country.

Duck Commander's fundamental belief never came from a textbook. It stemmed from his deep love for and faith in all human beings and over the past few days, with every card, every rose, every tear, every wave and every pirouette, and every cheesy, sentimental post, you have returned his love.

We have gathered from coast to coast to coast, from one ocean to another, united in our grief, to say goodbye.

Duck Commander won't be coming back anymore. It's all up to us, all of us, now.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
He has kept his promises and earned his sleep.

Holy Crap you are full of yourself! Look, we don't care! We don't care who started it. We don't care if you are a philanthropist and work weekends feeding starving orphans. We just don't want your fight on our forum. Just go away. You can't make us like you or respect you since you refuse to honor our wish not to have anything to do with you. Sheesh!

Oh, gag me with a spoon. Now it's advertising.

Did Terry make you do that too? Or maybe RKW? I'm sure it can't be your fault, nothing is.

Frankly I don't care what your politics are. I've seen enough of your posts to understand that you have no conception of what civil discourse and critical analysis really are. You're far more involved in placing blame and preening than in thoughtful discourse. You like to think of yourself as a deep thoughtful person. More than that, you like others to think of you that way. But at the end of the day, it's just an act, just another desperate attempt to convince yourself that you have some value in life. Like a desperate prostitute showing her varicosed thigh on the corner, hoping to convince herself that she's loved, but never really understanding what love is. Both of you live lives so full of personal dishonesty that you can never see yourselves as others do, so never stop living in fear that you're really empty. You lack the integrity to be even minimally real.

So go crawl back to your weedy pond and do whatever it is you do with those poor ducks, and frankly, we don't want to know. You can come out again when you have the decency to be human.
