Members bullhead
I'm looking for any input here. i've got a set of Andersons i got for $60 each brand new, and i think that's pretty good, but that's a deal. i'm looking mostly for mid-low output 'buckers, but would love to hear all opinions. Members cardude6987
GFS would probably be the most recommended here. They are cheap and apparently sound pretty good.

Members Burningleaves
I would say companies like DiMarzio and Duncan have some pretty good bang for the buck pups. Buying used pups is also an option to keep the price low.
Members EllenGtrGrl
GFS pickups. I put one of their Fat Overwounds in a Squier Affinity Tele I ahd for a while, and it sounded pretty good. I also put one of their Vintage P-90s in the Epi Wildkat I briefly had. That one also sounded good, with the added bonus of eliminating the microphonics issue the original pickup had, when I used the guitar in an amp running high gain. Members ashasha
First choice would be BG just because of the glowing reviews here. Second would be tonerider because what you are talking about is about where they are supposed to excel at. I've heard some really good things about them from people that I trust. Third would be Rockfield pickups. I've got a set in an import that just slay and they are starting to pick up some popularity. Very well made and sound great for the price. Members twofoolsaminute
Nevermind, I can't read. Tonerider Alnico IV's are fantastic. BG's are better, but aren't really what I'd call low priced. But they are worth it.

Members panther_king
I have a complete hard on for Joe Barden pickups at the moment, and really, really, REALLY want to get a tele set for my incumbent tele. They are hardly what I'd call 'bang for the buck' though... I just feel like they need a little more rep.
