  2. Originally posted by bob the dentist I see what you're saying, but I think it would sound badass in person. Just my opinion though it's a good sound, but i think the IIC+ is just way better. i like its cleans better than the Lone Star's (could also be the effects added, which no doubt give it more depth), and i think the general sound is more balanced and clearer. however, the RK was definitely more aggressive, and it gets serious points for that. might be the cabinets, as i thought my Mesa 2x12 was too woofy, and sold it.
  3. the camera sucks, but the IIC+ rig sounds WAAAAAAAAAAAY better. the RK just sounds woofy and grunty. and i don't like DT, so i have no partiality towards one or the other. the RK's low-mids just overpower the rest of the sound.
  4. Originally posted by andyhumb I'm somewhat surprised at the amount of "Dave Matthews" I've seen on this poll, thats the only one that has surprised me thus far (and Robert Plant) sweet, and i said both :D but another one: Jello Biafra. i went to see him with the Melvins a week ago, and the Melvins are one of my favorite bands, and i ended up leaving because i hated him so much.
  5. Originally posted by henk I forgot Bob Dylan. Hendrix knew he couldn't sing and that if he would it'd be an embarrassment. But then he heard Bob... well, the rest is history. actually, one of Hendrix's biggest vocal influences was Dylan. to me, Hendrix's vocal style always sounded like a cross between Dylan and John Lee Hooker.
