Members metal0822
So I stopped by GC today because I had an hour to kill. I went up to the salesman and asked him for a pick cause i didnt have one with me. He was setting up a les paul double cut with p90s, looked pretty nice. anyway i play a couple guitars and i see him walk over with it and throw it up in the used section with a price tag on it. i say "oh that one's for sale?" he tells me that some guy just traded it in toward a new les paul classic, and it is for sale for 499 with a case. so i ask to play it and its actually pretty sweet (ive been looking for something with p90s). long story short, im pretty sure its stock aside from strap locks. its one of the double cut lp special models with the faded finish and the flat top with p90s. has an amazing rosewood board (looks like brazilian) and just a few minor blemishes that do not bother me. so i put down 120 for them to hold it for me. should i hit it? i think i would have to sell my epi lp which i really do like a lot...decisions descisions... porn... Members WALL-E
They're pretty nice...499 is probably an average price with a case...that seems to be what they're going for on Ebay. These were in the mid 600s and came with gig bags new I do believe. Gibby P90s are nice and I like the faded finish on the neck...on the body I don't mind it
Members JoJo68
That's a good price and a killer guitar.
Members eurotrashed
To think that GC gave the dude $250 for the guitar and he took it. Maybe I should just work at GC and buy guitars from people for more than what GC would pay and still make out on a deal
Members metal0822
yea i agree about the finish on the neck. it feels real nice and doesn't hang you up. i just searched ebay. one went for 425 with a BIN and the others were 600+50 ship and 680ish. it seemed like a score when i saw the price. you can barely get a used melody maker for that much...or so i thought

Members Cliff Fiscal
I like mine! Got a thinner neck.....feels good though. The neck stability is weak......as in, you can push or pull the strings out of tune by pushing on the neck too hard or pulling on the neck. I don't think the neck joint is suspect.....just a delicate balance with the string tension and the neck relief. That said....I had to level my frets and file the nut....to achieve proper set up. The P90s are nice, but take some getting used to if you're used to strats or LPs. Overall an amazing guitar. the finish on the TV Yellow ones appears to be a bit more fragile then the red ones..... here's the wear on mine.... Members Caleb Knockin
Great guitars for the money, I have to say. I don't have one, never have, but my guitarist in my band right now has one and I've written a few tunes during jam sessions. Really growls! Members cratz2
Yeah, I bought a yellow one to flip a couple years ago. It was pretty sweet, but I just wasn't into the Gibson vibe at the time. A lot of the fadeds get a bad rap because of the finish... I'm not crazy about how the black fadeds look, but the red and yellow ones are pretty hot in my opinion. Members Roy Brooks
One of my friends has one. I like it. If I saw one for sale at that price and I could try it out I would probably get it. I like TV yellow more than red.
Members Guitar Heel
Extremely comfy neck on those, one of my favorite Gibby necks.
Members epi56ebony
To think that GC gave the dude $250 for the guitar and he took it. Maybe I should just work at GC and buy guitars from people for more than what GC would pay and still make out on a deal GC's used section has grown because they are doing more deals instead of insulting the customer with lowball offers. Yes they probably did take the guitar for 250 but gave the guy a 15% discount on the Les Paul Classic. For some people it's just easier this way. Ebay and Craigslist do require some work that people don't want to do. Also not everyone shops for lowest lowest price (like me!). I will do Ebay and Craigslist because I want to maximize my dollar. I had a very rough financial period in my life and I totally RESPECT money now. If I see a penny on the ground, I will pick it up, not because I really need it, but I want to know in my head that I take money seriously. I remember when I needed those dollars badly. Members Metalrulez
I say do not get if IF you have to sell your Epi to get it. You will kick your self in the ass for the rest of your life if you EVER get rid of ANY guitar that you like to play. Just my thoughts.
Members newbuilder
I would definately do it for that price. You can do it!
