Members the stranger
My $78 Behringer mixer decided not to power up the other night. I must have overworked it letting it sit there. If you don't use your Behringer gear, it just dies from neglect. See, I had a use for it the other night and it just wouldn't turn on. I filmed the whole episode and may or may not release it in some DVD extras or something. Otherwise, this Black & Decker Dustbuster I have sucks so bad it blows. I just wasted 10 seconds trying to suck of some dirt and thought of the historical Hoover threads and knew this was the place to get some answers. Members blue2blue
Since the 1940s, unsubstantiated rumors circulated that [Hoover] was a homosexual.[22] It has been suggested that Clyde Tolson, an associate director of the FBI who was Hoover's heir, may also have been his lover.[23] Some authors have dismissed the rumors about Hoover's sexuality and his relationship with Tolson in particular as unlikely,[24] while others have described them as probable or even "confirmed",[25] and still others have reported the rumors without stating an opinion.[26] Hoover described Tolson as his alter ego: the men not only worked closely together during the day, but also took meals, went to night clubs and vacationed together.[23] The exceedingly close relationship between the two is often cited as evidence that the two were lovers, though some FBI employees who knew them, such as Mark Felt, say that the relationship was merely "brotherly". Tolson inherited Hoover's estate and moved into his home, having also accepted the American flag that draped Hoover's casket. Tolson is buried a few yards away from Hoover in the Congressional Cemetery. Attorney Roy Cohn, an associate of Hoover during the 1950s investigations of Communists and himself a closeted homosexual, opined that Hoover was too frightened of his own sexuality to have anything approaching a normal sexual or romantic relationship.[18]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J._Edgar_Hoover#Sexuality So I'd say the answer is still open to conjecture... You know I did, but I really don't see how that could have any bearing what-so-ever. Please explain this theory of yours, so I can be better informed. Members the stranger
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roland_Alpha_Juno "The Alpha Juno is notable for its combination of the stability of digitally controlled oscillators with the arguably more pleasant quality of analogue filters. Both Alpha Junos can create the Hoover sound, a notable sound used in jungle and rave music. Artists who have used the Alpha Juno include The Prodigy, hardcore/gabber music from the Thunderdome albums and a great many other rave acts." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoover_sound "Hoover sound refers to a particular synthesizer sound in electronic music, commonly used in Hard House music and other styles. Originally called the "Mentasm" or "Dominator", the name that stuck was the one likening the sound to that of a vacuum cleaner."

So, is HC 2.0 gonna be a return to Music Player? From the join dates of July and August '05 and some of the monikers (Coaster), looks like it already happened in this thread. I was Henrysb3 in those days.
