Members Norcal_GIT_r
I keep getting asked for black covers so I thought some black chrome might be cool. If these work out I'll probably do a limited run of them. The set below are a set of Lizards that are going into my Gibson Explorer. Let me know what you all think. Members Norcal_GIT_r
Thanks.I'm doing them in my shop. The ones on the left on the pickups are my raw nickel covers and the ones on the right are my chromed nickel covers.I'm using a 2 step finish that was designed for doing car wheels. Members Fusion1
Do you have the means to do black nickel/cosmo black? I love the look of that instead of pure black or pure chrome, but like a blend of both.

I think the black/gold combo would look great also.I'm going to do a few other covers and play with the density of the black.I'll post more pics when I install them. Yeah, need more pics. The black looks like flat black with some reflectivity. I was expecting them to look more like:

Members Norcal_GIT_r
They do look alot like that. The ones on the right look the most like that. The ones on the left started as a flatter finished metal where the ones on the right started as chrome covers. My skills are in pickup making and not photography. Cool. You're photagraphy skills are fine. The chrome look probably gets lost on the black painted carboard used for the background. Once you get pics of them on an actual guitar you will probably be able to see them much better.

Those raw nickel/black covers look killer! +1 on that...I prefer the raw or chromed nickel though. The raw nickel looks great if you are going for an aged look like we did on the Green Lizard set...
