  1. Sorry, I don't think of Korea and China as 'Premium Quality'. Moving a few employees there won't help much either unless they move everyone. Bottom Line - I was looking at an older 80s or 90s 540 with the Custom Made inlay (this should pin down the year) yesterday and it had a BIN of like 600. I'll bet that guitar is light years better then Ibanez' 'premium' offerings. Sad they killed the brand. Try one of the Chinese Artcore Customs (AS103, etc). The quality is top notch and has beaten all other semi-hollow guitars I've played in terms of fit/finish/playability/everything!
  2. The only thing I can think of is that ugly switch plate! :LOL I'm a maple neck lover, and this looks to be a very versatile "super strat" with a maple neck. I really want that one, but premium ver
  3. In an attempt to bring this thread back to guitars...they just announced this! Now let's hope they put some maple boards on the S's!
  4. I really really want an S with a reversed headstock maple board would be a bonus...no inlays would be icing on the cake XD
  5. Eck, they are pretty but I can imagine they yield the thinnest tone imaginable. These guitars are made for people with no muscles. They feel like you are holding air. Actually, I've got an old MIJ S and that thing sounds HUGE! When I'm playing it, it feels like I'm driving a sleek racecar vs an old pickup truck
  6. Yeah the black one looks really sleek! It's making me rethink my rule about not buying any black guitars XD I'm really hoping they release a blue quilted one like their prestige model those are way too expensive for me

  9. Found some pics and some interesting features! First off, they both have a cutaway at the back of the lower horn allowing easy access to the upper frets! 2nd: the back of the neck on the s920e is painted black! Looks like its a satin finish though (you can see the tape marks at the top of the neck) Anyway, enjoy!
  10. Oops made a mistake

Anyone recommend them? I actually picked up a green RBX760A earlier this year...really fun bass! It's a really well-built piece too! My only issue is that there's something funny with the wiring that drains batteries even when it's unplugged :/ Edit: just checked the link you posted...it's exactly that bass XD got it for pretty cheap too! Great value! Try to find another one hehehe

  13. Hey guys, I need a bit of help identifying this bass...seller says its a Yamaha RBX374, but I can't find any history of this bass being made in this color. However, there was a Yamaha RBX764A that was made which looks like this...but there isn't any info on it. The RBX765A seems to be the best match but it was 5 strings It also seems like a RBX760A with different knobs...but I think the green was a brighter green on those...can anyone chime in? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
