Much of the time I open them based on who started the thread. I prefer threads by the regulars that have been around for the past few years. I've made some friends on here and I am usually very interested to hear what they have to say. Then there are some (or there were - some of 'em have gone off recently) v funny people, of the likes of Dave Aronow, who were entertaining to read. Beyond that, I guess I would be tempted to open the following: 'Les Paul Juniors... are they any good then?' 'AC30s - they're rubbish 'aint they?' 'America! {censored} yeah!' Yes, Dave has been one of my favorite posters since he joined some four years ago. He's not here as often as he used to, busy in the real world of pro musicians. Incredibly witty and a stand-up guy. NGD is a good hook but I definitely don't read all ten thousand of them every day. And anything about "should I buy this" or "look what a great deal I got" is instant.
