Members FoonkySteve
Got a Gas list going for 2012 already, and one of the items on my list is a new tuner pedal. I saw a used Pitch Black the other day for
Members Faber
I got the TC Polytune last year. It is by far the best tuner pedal I've had. More precise than the TU10 and a korg.
Members timmyfirst
ive just got the polytune and i like that a lot. My Korg Pitchblack is up for sale, it is accurate and fast and very easy to see on stage but i do find it noisy and they claim true bypass but it does break the tone a bit. Members Tone Deaf
Another happy PolyTune user here ... I recently took CSM's advice when I had the same question a few months ago. I've been very happy with the polytune.

Members scolfax
I bought this last year and I love it: Tunes all 6 strings at once, great display, built like a tank. Even comes with a custom-cut velcro pad.

Members noisebloom
I've had a Planet Waves pedal tuner for a few years. I'm a big fan of the clock-like layout, which is easy to read and use. Apparently it's accurate down to about +/- 3 cents. It's "good enough," but my next tuner will be finer than that. The maker claims this is true bypass, but it is not. It hums all the while I'm tuning, and I can always tell when I forget to turn it off, because a red LED blips every few seconds to signal its status, and I can hear it beep slightly through the amp. The silent output mode is quiet and acceptable for stage use, though.
Members FoonkySteve
Thanks guys! The polytune seems to be at the front of the pack at the moment, im gonna keep an eye out for a used one, or see if i can get some discount somewhere. Members LesPaulFetish
I have a Turbo Tuner, but it would be more expensive than the others. If you want to set your own intonation I'd recommend the Turbo Tuner, besides that the Polytune would be a good choice.

Members thom
TurboTuner Probably the fastest and most accurate tuner out there that also has some nice extra's, like user presets and true bypass. Unless you wanna be able to tune yer geetar a mile away from where your tuner is: Posting the pic in actual size would make servers crash all over the interwebz, and possibly the universe with it. Srry, I can never resist posting that same pic/joke over and over in every single pedal tuner thread:)
Members MrPFloyd
boss tu-2.problem i have with the polytune is you can't really see it when you play outdoor gigs when its sunny. but if thats not a problem for you, then go right ahead, it is a well built pedal! Members SoundWrangler
+1 on the Boss TU-2. Yes, it does get washed out in direct sunlight, but that's a problem with almost all these pedals... and it's pretty bulletproof (although I like the Korg Pitchblack, too). Two different people I have played with using TC PolyTunes have had tremendous problems with it making big noise when in tune/mute mode. Is this a universal problem, or did they both just happen to get units from a bad run?

Members DonK
I used Boss TU-2s for several years, but now I gravitate between a Polytune and a Pitchblack. I have the Polytune on my "small" pedal board, and the Pitchblack on the other (neither has all that many pedals).
Members I-like2play
I use a pitchblack. It's fast and accurate. Doesn't bounce all over like some others. I like it well but i'm also looking into the polytune. Seems like a good way to cut down tuning time between songs...
Members sylvesterlowery
Korg PitchBlack user, love mine! It's accurate, it's reliable, it's fast, and I got it used for cheap. I'm happy with it, gigged with it with no problems.
Members ArmyGuitar
PitchBlack here, very fast and accurate, but I am biased since it was my first tuner. But never had an issue with it.
