Members coyote-1
I was the drummer in one of those bands in the early 80s. Yeah there's a bit of pressure the first night because it's him, but you are playing songs you've already played a hundred times in your life and heard thousands of times. So you go on automatic, and keep your eyes on him to follow the cues.... keeping in mind that no one is there to see you, they are there to see the legend. Members JR13
that whole documentary is hilarious. Keith gets so pissed but doesn't really say anything because its freaking Chuck Berry. There's one scene during the show where Chuck asks to change the key halfway through the song and Keef shuts him down

Members janimarj
What happened in the end was that Chuck had his amp on the stage set up the way he preferred, but Keith hid another amp (which he set to his liking) under the stage. This amp is the one you hear in the concert video.

It was filmed in 1986. The concert was to celebrate Chuck's 60th birthday.

Members HeatherAnnePeel
Keith's and Chuck's contributions to Rock music are some of the most important and enduring. Are they the most technical? No. Do they both have big egos? Certainly. The clip is hilarious, regardless. And Chuck is perhaps the only one who could correct Keith in this manner. His song, his licks.

Members chipwich
Yes, that's an awesome documentary. Haven't seen it in a while, but my memory is that during the concert, Eric comes to the front and basically tears everyone a new one. Must have been pretty much near the pinacle of his playing, if he ever had one.

Members HeatherAnnePeel
I have it on DVD, and saw it when it was released. Keith was the ONLY choice for the musical director.

Members Grant Harding
I don't have any ill feelings towards the guys, but my honest opinion is that Chuck Berry converted a few blues songs by adding a jumped-up beat and a bunch of variations of the same guitar riff. Then Keith Richards copied him and called it a career. Good on them for being able to make that work. It's just basic blues.
