I'd probably better stop thinking about this, but a few more:

AC/DC: Let There Be Rock

Neil Young: Powderfinger

Stooges: Down on the Street

Santana: Batuka

Pixies: Vamos

Who: Young Man Blues

Eric Clapton: Let It Grow

Adrian Belew: The Rail Song

David Bowie: Heroes

Van Halen: (Oh) Pretty Woman

John Williams: La catedral

Byrds: 8 Miles High

Fripp and Eno: The Heavenly Music Corporation

Rush: Red Barchetta

No, I really need to stop this.

I really should check out some more Pink Floyd. I don't listen to them, but I like what I'm hearing
:thu:

This is not something that should be admitted in a public place:facepalm:

You need to just go and do some immersion therapy for a few weeks

Your prescription is:

Obscured by Clouds

Atom Heart Mother

Meddle

Dark Side of the Moon

Wish You Were Here

Animals

To be taken everyday for 4 weeks at regular intervals

Be-Bop Deluxe

It'd difficult to find the best of the album Axe Victim, but it contains some of the most gorgeous of Bill Nelson's work

Here's one:

Todd Rundgren's fingers spoke some beautiful stuff, get hold of the album Ra, by Utopia, one side of which is a story/concept

This is a live rendition of part of that work

Some odd ones off the top of my head:

Elvin Bishop - Fooled Around And Fell In Love

Yes - Going For The One

Shudder to Think - She Might Be Waking Up

yes for Elvin - very appropriate.

Also Larry Carlton on Donald Fagans New Frontier

Almost forgot.

haters will hate but the solo in Have you heard on the Beano album is pretty damn hard to beat for structure and emotion. For an 18 year old (about).

several of those that come to mind first have already been mentioned. A couple worth noting

Mark Knopfler: Planet of new orleans - silly song but the guitar work is spot on

Larry Carlton: It was only yesterday.

Clapton: Running on faith - live on 24 nights.

Scott Henderson: Tore Down House

I've never seen a Videographer {censored} up such a great piece of history in my life, probably one of the most prolific solos in rock history - and this dickwad has his camera on the Disco ball instead of his fingers...

Pisses me off LOL:mad:

It's kind of weird though. I was there and the ball thing was a HUGE part of the experience. It doesn't convey well on film, but in person it was really mesmerizing. You had to be there. There's no way to adequately experience it.
