2 old graying late 50s dues playing 60s rock/pop/folk covers on their acoustics.

2 gits most of the time, we take turns singing lead, he does decent high harmony.

Sometimes I play upright or dobro.

Goals are modest, some low paying coffee houses, maybe an outdoor festival or something. But mostly just for fun.

Humor is always fun on here, but seriously need some help with a real name.

Thats about the best thing we have come up w as well.

Porter & Townsend

Honestly, that's a nice-sounding name. Go with it. Most of your audience will be people you know, and this way they'll never have to remember the band name when they're reading the entertainment section of the local rag.

sounds good to me too... but if my name was porter i might want to go by townsend and vice versa just for the humor value...

Either way works in this case. There are times when one name just doesn't sound right after the other though.

"Two Horse Trailer"

"Plug Tobacco"

"Chicken Dinner"

"Nickel Cigar"

I thought "Biscuits & Gravy" would work but it's already taken.

Just in case you wanted something different. I think "Porter & Townsend" sounds good too.
