TBH I've never found a use for such things and I don't really know how you would use one in a gig.
Moderators daddymack Posted December 27, 2023 Moderators Share Posted December 27, 2023 Did have one [I don't even remember who made it or what it was called...great graphics though] briefly that I won in an online contest several years ago, but meh, for my purposes it was never going to find a place on my sidegig pedalboard. I do find it somewhat amusing that the 'lo-fi' pedals I've seen are covered in control knobs....to me, that almost makes it its own instrument.... https://delicious-audio.com/best-lofi-guitar-pedals-analog-digital-tape-vinyl/

Members badpenguin
I am perfectly capable of making my guitar sound like crap, so no need for a pedal.
Members Ancient Mariner
Actually it seems they're no as sucky as I first thought. Still not something I'd bother with (I really like modulation, but have very specific preferences for chorus, phaser, flanger etc) but can still sound good in the right hands. Examples: This second demo is cool.
Members Kestral
I have an old Ibanez LF7. Below is a YT video. It was actually a forumite here that turned me onto it over 15 years ago, I bought one for like 40 bucks on EBAY back in the day, they sell for over $200 now. Crazy. For modern pedals the two that come to mind are the Fairfield Circuitry Shallow Water and the Chase Bliss Generation Loss mk2.
