  1. I have an old Ibanez LF7. Below is a YT video. It was actually a forumite here that turned me onto it over 15 years ago, I bought one for like 40 bucks on EBAY back in the day, they sell for over $200 now. Crazy. For modern pedals the two that come to mind are the Fairfield Circuitry Shallow Water and the Chase Bliss Generation Loss mk2.
  2. Yo I'm right here. I don't have the Boss FA-1 anymore, but I just got a couple of new pedals to start a new pedalboard, KISS THIS 🤣
  3. Olle! Do you still have the Telecaster and Vox AC30? How's the lovely wife and the kid? Kid must be a teenager now.
  4. Bieke, I remember you! Wow it's been a long time. I put aside music quite awhlie back and sold most of my pedals including the Boss FA-1. I just got into music again and acquired these tonight (both MIJ):
  5. It's been a very long time, checking in after many years.

  7. DOD 250 vintage gray on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270225792657
  8. Jenny Garth was definitely my favorite. But it kinda ruined it for me when I found out from the Motley Crue biography that Vince Neil "hit it". (ewwwwwwwww!!)
  9. Originally posted by rooster Sorry Kestral, I have to say what you said about USB was pretty off the mark. WinXP SP2 will deliver firewire info at 400mbs and USB 2.0 will do 480mbs. This means USB is actually faster in this case. A little knowledge is a dangerous thing. First of all, I specifically mentioned USB, not USB 2. Second of all, USB 2 does 480 BURST rate. Firewire does 400 SUSTAINED rate. BURST means once in awhile it'll spike to 480 but most of the time the rate is not that far off from USB. Great marketing by Intel to rope the dopes in. SUSTAINED means just that. Sustained. Firewire consistently does 400. Streaming audio requires SUSTAINED rates in order not to skip and jump. So no, even USB 2 isn't good enough for digital audio, especially once you start getting into 24-bit and recording more than 2 tracks at a time.
  10. Can you even get a digital 8-track for $300? Some suggestions: M-Audio Audiophile Firewire, M-Audio 2496 Those are good because they're cheap, they work well and if at some point you want to run Pro Tools software you can.
  11. Depends, what features do you need, what's your budget, what software are you going to run?
  12. Yeah, they're gay. USB is not enough bandwidth. Get a PCI or Firewire-based solution.
