Chorus before, or after dirt?

dude totally depends on the pedal.

I can't necessarily comment on chorus specifically, but since a chorus is just a lazy flanger and I'm swimmin in flangers, My hartman likes the loop and my Paul G AF2 doesn't. Perhaps its attributed to the fact that the Hartman is by nature much more subtle than the woo loo loo A/DA style AF2.

I think I like modulation before dirt. It makes the sweeps a bit more controlled sounding, more subtle.

Chorus before dirt. Less cheesy that way in my limited experience with chorus pedals I've gone through.

Not sure if it's more subtle though. Well, for filters like phasers, definitely (I also do prefer placing a phaser before dirt). But I thought I could get some dirtier sounds with pitch modulators like vibrato, chorus, etc. placed before dirt.
