Members Taylor.
I had an M9 and a DMMTT at the same time briefly. The M9 got pretty darn close, but in terms of the modulation the DMMTT won out.
Members hugbot
Its my favorite model on it but i don't know if theyre close at all.
Members TomCTC
Honestly I wouldn't say they're comparable. Theres a few other modulated delays on there that are however, and they feature dry-thru options so they're don't color your signal as much. Members six acre lake
It's impossible to say. There have been quite a few iterations of the DMM over the years and even between some of the older big box models there are subtle differences. I have a 90s era big box and the M9 came close enough to be a serviceable approximation but the DMM still reigns supreme in my book.
Members hangwire
did they emulate the clipping in the m9, because that is a big reason I don't own a dmm anymore because of that overload light and the drive it had... i know many people like that, but not me
Members Naterel
If it doesnt clip its not a DMM sound

My XO doesn't do it as easily.....if I roll the volume on the guitar (with humbuggies) to 9 it doesn't overload.
Members iamthearm
maybe i've never really spent enough time with the delays on my m9 but they've always fallen short for me.

Members IRG
maybe i've never really spent enough time with the delays on my m9 but they've always fallen short for me. I thought so too, but lately I have spent more time with just the delays on my M5. Some of them are pretty darn good, you have to tweak and save though. And sometimes like the modulation options, are a bit more fussy than I would like. Like the depth doesn't seem to do much, until you're 95% of the way turned up, and then it's too much. But by and large, some definite good delay sounds to be had.

Members BAXANDALL
I have a DMM and it sounds like a DMM. Don't have an M9 though.
Members mhuxtable
The Analog Delay with Mod setting I think is supposed to be DMM-ish Doesn't come close. Honestly, no substitue for the real deal
Members renula
That sounded pretty close to my ears. Maybe the m9 was a bit brighter, but barely noticeable.
Members Gaetano Paul
It sounded amazingly close in the room too! It doesn't do the clipping drive/clock noise thing though, but I'm ok with that. I love the delays in the M9.
