IBS is not fun.

I've suffered with Ulcerative colitis from a very young age. It's not always easy, or even profitable for companies to keep you on. Missing weeks at a time, having to leave your post at a moments notice... constantly fluctuating health. I understand it from both ends of the spectrum.. Good on you for atleast getting out there and trying to do SOMETHING.

I wouldn't worry too much about SAL. He's just an avant garde consumer whore. Your wife is pretty, and obviously committed to you. For that alone, you need to buck up and find a job (even an unpleasant one) that pays the bills.

My IBS and depression go hand-in-hand, so when I get stressed out, I get massive flare-ups. There was crazy, contradictory, fear-factor management on my back all the time, so I ended up really ill. I don't understand what all this confusion's about. NetStar will attest that I've spent crazy amounts of time seeing doctors and hospital specialists and I was having to take crazy amounts of meds to even get through a morning.

Imo, it's almost a certainty that your diet is causing your problems.

The meds are just treating the symptoms, and probably causing ALL

kinds of bad side effects to boot. (trust in modern medicine at your own peril)

I'd suggest a mono-food diet for a while, to determine what works and what doesn't.

That's if you're willing to make the effort to try and take back control of your health.

And for god's sake, stop using Flouride Toothpaste, and filter your Water too, though you'll need to buy distilled water, if your public water is Flouridated.

P.S. Back problems can be caused by specific nutritional imbalances and/or disease pathologies. Researching what those are may help you figure out the root cause of your health problems. (Gluten allergies, Nightshade intolerance, low Melatonin, etc)
