If this is in the name of making authorities happy... I'm not sure performing without a licence to earn cash which won't be taxed is the best way to go about it.

I do wish you the best of luck though, I know from first hand experience that being married puts you at a severe disadvantage in this country regards to claiming benefits/JSA etc. It's ludicrous that it's often financially better for you to both be out of work than it is for just one of you to be out of work.

You had to quit because of your health? Sounds fishy to me. Why weren't they supportive of your health condition?

Wife: Shame all I can play is the tambourine and shakey eggy thing. Too bad you missed my topless webcamming days!

I had a doctor's note for amended duties and the manager took no notice of it whatsoever. I also have to work very regular hours because I have to eat, drink and sleep at very regular times. Did they take any notice of that? Did they {censored}. I got so bad in the end that my doctor advised that I stop before I end up in hospital. I asked my boss about it and I was given a week until my last day.

You can ask anyone who's worked at HMV Trocadero in the past year - it's a really unpleasant place to work and most people are kept in line by fear. Toxic atmosphere in that place. It's a shame, because most people there are really nice. I wouldn't quit my job unless I absolutely had to - I loved the customer service part of the job and I miss the customers a lot. I served some wonderful people.

Heavy lifting and carrying through the second biggest store in the company, drastic rota changes (I have IBS, so I need very regular eating and sleeping habits), having to go to the men's room a lot...

All sales assistants have to do stock duties, too. I have back, hip and shoulder problems from a car accident and, whilst I made it clear in my application that I can't do heavy work, I still had to do it. My IBS and depression go hand-in-hand, so when I get stressed out, I get massive flare-ups. There was crazy, contradictory, fear-factor management on my back all the time, so I ended up really ill. I don't understand what all this confusion's about. NetStar will attest that I've spent crazy amounts of time seeing doctors and hospital specialists and I was having to take crazy amounts of meds to even get through a morning.
