The only acceptable mode was room, and there was a small but noticeable volume drop overall. I decided I like having verb on the board though, so I picked up a Hall Of Fame-- absolutely no comparison, the HOF kills the Shimverb. Well worth the price difference, and I'd imagine that there are other good verbs out there for relatively cheap as well.I like the AnaEcho very much though.
