Members JT1
There are 2 kinds of venues in my tri-state area. Some provide a PA system and an Engineer and some you bring your own PA. The pay is diffrent so keep that in mind when posting.

Members BrendanO
If it's rock originals, maybe some. If it's covers, probably a decent wage. If it's metal...you lose money.

Members Sordid1
my last band was an original metal band and we averaged usually $100 to $200 per show between door money and merchandise. I quite right as we started to get somewhat established so they might do better in the future, at the time we were basically self sustaining. Members Bloodjinn
With gas prices rising, we usually break even on tours. We budgeted out this tour we're doing from 9/4 -9/30 and we were going to just break even. Gas jumped dramatically again this week and now we're keeping our fingers crossed that we don't get stranded on the west coast. Ah...the joys of playing metal. Which is more or less every gig in Florida I've done.
Members Sun Ra
I play in a shreddy kind of jam band .We stretch out tunes a bit but we are a lot heavier than say Phish .I own a 50 acre farm that I throw yearly festivals at. I charge 30$ a head and obtain permits from the township I live in to throw the party. The usual attendance is upwards of 2000 or more. It is actually quite a headache because all the insurance liability falls on me being the landowner:(

Members Catfish-Killa
We charge $100 an hour and have about 15 bookings a year for weddings, graduation parties, Haloween and new Years eve. It is kind of low but it prevents business going to the DJ's.
