ranges from $50-$400 from the door, depends on how big the show, we don't care though, as long as we get gas money we are straight, plus all profit made goes to a band fund for merch, recording, etc. we don't divide the profit amungst ourselves.

The sad thing is that the amount bands make around here hasn't really gone up at all in 20 years. :(

Oof, that sucks... It hink Perpetual would have done pretty well up here for awhile. To me, the music scene in NYC blows ass. To see any decent rock you need to head out to Long Island( the burbs) or Jersey

Im trying to get my heavy blues rock thing together and Im wondering how thatll turn out.....I cant see us making much $$$ but you never know, maybe there are still fans of guitar music out there

I live in Philly so let me know when your next festival is.

My band makes anywhere between $1200 - $3000 per show depending on where we are playing at. We make the higher end of the scale for playing the Casinos. They pay great $!

It's hard to get more than 500 SEK per person in Stockholm and hard to get more than 2.000 SEK total for a band no matter how many are playing in it. Too many too good bands are willing to play for free, or almost for free.

Outside of Stockholm you get the double (or close to it) pretty often. And you should cause it does mean a lot more travelling.

There are roughly 7.5 SEK to a dollar, you do the maths.

Also, I'm talking about a blues band doing original songs here, a cover band should do much better. A good cover band should make 3.000 to 4.000 a night even in Stockholm.

No, I am just getting started playing out and making connections again after years of not playing out so it's definitely not normal in Atlanta. It is very hard to keep together musicians long enough to practice and do a gig. I'm probably driving them away...

my 5 peice bar band does rock covers and our going rate is $400 a night. We provide our own PA. That's slightly above average pay in my area, Central New York USA. I'm sure bands in larger cities can demand more $$, but around here bar owners are cheap and the demand for live music is low :(
Still, we're having fun and this is just a weekend hobby, so I don't worry about it too much. If I can crank my amp, rock out and act like an idiot on a friday night and still put $80 in pocket, that's good enough for me.

We're now a 7 man band due to a change in lineup, and we get about $200 for each gig from the door. We only play original metal material, with one cover to spice things up, so its pretty decent considering the scene over here. PA is all set up by the venue.

I love those kind of underground type concerts.Brings back some memories from the early '80s for me when some guys put on a concert with quality local bands in a large cornfield. The stages were in a cleared section in the middle of the field. The best part was that they billed it as "Cornstalk"...music was good as well.

My current gig is a bit of a letdown from my past gig where I made $1,000 to 3,000 per night for a 3 hour show, but I currently am booked year round, three nights per week, every week for between $375 to 500 per weekend, depending on whether we are asked to do overtime or not.
It's at least a steady gig at the beach on the hotel's top floor overlooking the Gulf, so it ain't bad.

It is an amazing time, we have vendors, D.J.s spinning allnight, a glass blowing exhibition, a pyrotechnic squad that dances with fire, some very hot girls, did I mention hot girls?. You can check the pics on the website to get an idea about the party.OOps its October 8th camping is encouraged. I would like to check out your xtc classic, I have a bunch of Cornfords and other boutiques you could check out. Peace:cool:

Which is more or less every gig in Florida I've done.

That's 'cause they don't have any beer!!!!

Throw some alcohol their way and they'll loosen up. Maybe even hit on chicks.

Kage, I never knew you did a Journey cover band. My good friend Bill grew up with the new Journey singer. That guy was a manager at a GAP store or something to that effect. They just played at Mohegan Sun Casino. Bill goes to all the local shows and gets all the VIP stuff. Lucky bastard.
