  1. metal is in a bad place right now. even most the bad ass euro metal bands that saved the day in the mid/late 90's(when all america had to offer was korn, limp bizkit, and rob zombie) are putting out boring, non-memorable albums. as far as getting old and growing out of it? to some extent thats probably going to happen. i mean i'll throw on some iced earth or some stratovarious, and even though i'm enjoying it, a big part of me knows how cheezy it really is, where as when i was 18, it was the coolest {censored} ever.
  2. i think he just does all that {censored} to try and be funny.
  3. i owned 2 fretlight guitars. decent hands on learning tool, but as far as their build? GARBAGE!!!
  4. i just got a drri too, and i was suprised how great it sounded even with all the stock eh and sovteks. mine came with a jensen ceramic in it though. it sounded every bit as good as the silverface(modden to bf specs) i used to have, as well as the ptp tubegarden DR clone i used to have. i think i'm gunna keep her.

I also own a few other amps which are more expensive than my Herbert, so as far as price goes, it's relative. i'm not putting down the hubert or anything, but you can't deny the fact that for some people "most expensive = best". i've never played a diezel, so i have zero opinion on them.
  9. i have a friend who keeps saying "i sell all this {censored} and buy a diezel". some people think that just because its like the most expensive high gain amp out there that it is automaticly the best. i'll take my fja 5150 over any other high gain amp. when i want some other flavor, or premium cleans, i always have my piece of {censored} boogie mark IIC+
