Maybe, some improv bluesy-jazzy-mellow-jam-bandish type stuff.

OOOOOh! Nutshell, by Alice in Chains, is a great song. Or maybe even Who'll Stop the Rain, by CCR.

So many Alice in Chains songs are great with just an acoustic and a voice. I'd probably play Down in a Hole or Shame in You.

I'd start by saying "OK, who here can name a song I can't play?"

Someone would call out "[insert song title here]"

I'd say "OK, great! Who's got another?"

And then I'd say "OK, ok. Let's get serious here. Here's a song by a group called Yes".

I'd hit the first two little 12th fret harmonics of the "Roundabout" intro, then say "Thanks, you've been a great audience!"

They are so beautiful and musical anyways that I don't even think it matters if people don't know the song.

Anyways who am I kidding, of course I'd play We Die Young or something.

I guess I have such an aversion to "showing off" (my own interpretation of my own motives, not a judgment), or coming off pretentious that I won't play unless I am performing, rehearsing, recording, or by myself. I guess i just don't want to "inflict" myself and my ego on anyone.

i'm of basically the same opinion... which is why i would, out of spite, tune down to A# and play New Millennium Cyanide Christ by Meshuggah

Quite possibly the most metal post, evar.

Acoustics usually have thick ass strings so it's probably possible... although not recommended

"BAPTIZED IN VITRIOLIC ACID. A FINAL TOUCH. A SMOOTHING OF FEATURES.
COMPLETION OF THE GREATEST ART; TO CAST THE GODLY CREATURES.
HUMANS, ONCE ASTRAY; MADE DIVINE. STRIPPED OF CONGENITAL FLAWS.
WE'RE INCANDESCENT REVELATIONS IN A WORLD OF DARKENED FORMS."

Shouting that out should wake up the other campers, ahah  m/
