Members Guvnor
All the cancer stuff is really interesting. I don't know if that is really in scope for what they're doing or if they're just blowing smoke in a "well, who knows? It might cure cancer... let's crank it up and find out..." I do know one thing: there's no way in hell my insurance will cover anti-matter.
Members ravelm3nt
Maybe it will cause everyone in this thread to discover that the mayan calendar isn't a "conspiracy theory". There is a calendar that the Mayans created that was incredibly accurate given the technology at the time. It's historical fact. A conspiracy theory, for example, is that 9/11 was planned or that the FBI took down JFK. Big difference. Were the dinosaurs a conspiracy theory too? Members ravelm3nt
oh jeez...hopefully this doesn't go on forever...it is the year the Mayan calendar comes to an end. Lots of people think that will be the end of the world. conspiracy nuts FTW  Seems like you did:) I just don't see how a theory on the end of the world is a conspiracy theory. Unless you think Bush is behind it.

Members ravelm3nt
I you for opening that can of worms... that's what I'm saying. But we still have yet to witness the predicted nuclear disaster for 2008... does it still count if it's on a sub-atomic level? It shouldn't be funny but it is because it makes a lot of sense and people brush it off as conspiracy theory... which it may indeed be just the same as this {censored} might go terribly worng... only time will tell. Very true. I mean everything may work fine. But if it doesn't it'll at least be really interesting.

Members BornUnderBadSgn
umm...let's revisit my original post, shall we? Now, clearly i stated the unrivaled FACT that it is the year the mayan calendar ends...no where did i say it was a conspiracy...Reading comprehension FTW Here is where i say it's a conspiracy...And i guess technically it's NOT really a conspiracy, as much as a bunch of people thinking the world will just take an abrupt halt on Dec. 21st, 2012... sure, it could happen...but there is no FACTS telling us that it WILL happen other than the fact that a Calendar ends on that exact day, so it MUST be the end of the world Nice try though brother You are right... there is nothing factual telling us that it will happen. But the Mayan calendar isn't the only thing that points to the year 2012. Do some research on this subject... there are a bunch of out of the ordinary events that are all coincidently lining up to take place in 2012. Even Einstein came up with some theory about some bull{censored} aligning going down within the solar system that will supposedly take place in 2012. I think it's all kind of creepy yet very cool. It will be an interesting year whether it's the end of the world or not. pretty cool {censored}http://www.december212012.com/

Since our galaxy is flat, this means that more astrological stuff is lined up. What's amazing is how the Mayans were able to predict such movements in the heavens so far in advance. Here's the deal about 2012...YOU do some research. I already have. And I don't mean reading your insane conspiracy sites. I mean reading what credible scientists and archeologists have to say about 2012. It becomes abundantly clear that it has absolutely NOTHING to do with the end of the world. Well, you pretty much summed up the failings of religion in the place of science. It's happened thousands of times. Just because humans weren't around to see it, doesn't mean it didn't happen. If you look at a ruler (a metric ruler with millimeters) and used it to compare the age of our universe with the amount of time the homo sapien species has existed, our time would be represented by less then 1/1000th of a single millimeter on that ruler. -W
