Members newholland
unemployment doesn't start if you quit. if theres another job to get, never prolong misery. don't quit if you're supporting a family. if you've got nothing to lose, never keep a {censored} job... but theres always a MORE {censored} job out there, and sometimes theres a LESS {censored} job.. Members ThisIsExile
i think you should quit HCAF. you really have to mess up to get fired. so it'd be quicker if you just quit.

Members RaceU4her
definately get fired, you wont get unemployment if you quit, and i think they just bumped unemployment up from six months to a year. i made the mistake a few times of telling my boss to go {censored} himself before he said i was fired when i could have just waited till after he fired me and i would have still been getting paid
Members duncan
if you are going to find a job right after the end of your current one? quit. it looks better on a resume. if you want to collect unemployment? get your ass fired. do it with style. upper deck all the toilets or something. Members Mudder1310
It completely depends on the situation. If you hate getting up and going to work you should quit. If you like your job but your position is getting phased out then you should look for another job until the hammer drops.

Members scud133
why would you want to get fired if you're applying for another job down the road? the employer has every right to ask you if you've been fired before and then he can throw you out right there. quitting is much smarter long-term
Members LA-Ü-RA
You can get UC in Ohio if you quit for just cause (you took the actions than an ordinary person would do under the same or similar circumstances).

Members petejt
Get a new job, THEN quit your old job. Getting fired does not look good on your resume- very bad move to get purposely fired.

You may have to wait a few weeks as it goes through adjudication, but you can collect. I did back in 1997. My employer was laying people off, and I was basically doing 8 jobs. I asked for a raise to compensate, and they refused (somewhat unprofessionally, I may add) I quit, I collected for 3 months before I landed another job. As long as your at a company for 6 months i think you can. The company can obviously fight it.
