In '92 I traded a guy straight across, '68 Princeton Reverb for a Gorilla amp.

He didn't like the Princeton cuz it didn't have 'distortion'........

I play that Fender to this day!

 

 

Thats one of the best deals ive ever heard he basically let you have it for free

a session guitarist played this at my studio last week and offered $500 cash right then for it. i declined.


i picked it up at a yard sale for $50

 

That is crazy looking. In a good way. I've never seen such an amp before. It has me curious. :thu:

My beat up LTD KH-202 for an Ibanez JEM7dbk in '06

 

My sawed-in-half Rogue 2x12 that was once a 4x12, with a piece of plywood screwed on to the top, for a 1971 Ampeg V4 4x12 with EV/Sunn speakers in '05

 

My piece of {censored} "Series 10" brand bass with a missing tuning peg, that I literally found in a dumpster behind Pizza Hut (the headstock was sticking out the top, and I went to investigate. I wasn't dumpster diving) for an Epiphone Gothic SG with Dimarzio Super Distortions in neck and bridge in '05

Nothing too special, but here goes.

 

I Got my '82 JCM 800 2204 verticle input for $900 with an 80's Marshall cab, sold the cab for $300

 

And I got my 2 channel blackface dual rectifier in mint condition with a Mesa Recto cab also in mint condition for $1250

 

Musicman SIxty Five Head for $250, pretty cool little head.

got my '78 LPC for $850.. in 1993.. so not such a great deal.. but compared to today's prices it is..

 

got a '76 SG for $350.. in 1991..

 

bought a laney aor in 1991 for $300.. loaded with telefunken tubes!

 

bought my first 412 for $200.. it was a peavey straightfront loaded with t75's.. i sold it for $250 8 years later..

 

my mesa .50 cal i bought for $300.. i sold my laney for $250.. so $50.. kept it for 15 years, and sold the mesa for $450.

 

i replaced it with a studio .22 i bought for $400... so i made money on that one..
