I was stupid enough not to prep ahead of time to get an amp (I've been playing through Guitar Rig for the past couple months) I want it to sound decent. But the only tone I really need is a nice lead gain tone, and the potential to go clean/semi clean All I've got is a EHX Magnum 44 power amp, a crappy Crate 65W SS. Should I just try to pick up a stomp box to cover my gain tones through the clean channel? Is there any decent one for this? Then again, I'm fairly spoiled cuz I have several friends with nice rigs they'd let me borrow.. As for the stompbox idea, what kind of sound are you going for? But I think I got it settled... it won't sound that good methinks. and yes, I don't play many shows, and I booked it without thinking about my amp situation. I've been waiting to pick up an Axe-Fx, then the date crept around and I didn't realize it was that close I was wondering though if a stompbox through a Solid State would have been a viable option though Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
