  1. Beautiful. B's are usually enough anyways, a good handful. You must have small hands.
  2. The Mateo all the way! Had that one a Singlecut and it was the dead sexy.
  3. shhhh. actually any ampegs with blue tolex are {censored}.
  4. Not a fan of the newer (last 20 years) Fender amps. Personally, i would look for a used Ampeg Blue Diamond series. The 2x12 Reverbrocket is a KILLER amp.
  5. V30's are by far the best option for the JCA, in my opinion, they were made for each other. Amp looks good. I'd personally have used a different type of grill, but it looks cool anyway Have you tried them with the 20watters? I imagine that the EL84 will sound different than the 6L6s with the V30. I have not tried them, but I wonder.
  6. what about some white chickens? Came in to post this. Great minds and all that.
  7. Congrats. You've made the cabinet look a little silly. Possibly sound worse too. Difficult to judge that part. Anyway, aesthetically, I'm not a fan. The head is ok I guess. Doesn't it usually have the blue front?? What do you care? It's only 20 watts!
  8. I like the grill on the head but so much on the cab.
  9. I'm guessing you meant model? It's a mh-53. Costs about $200 new and is outstanding for the price. But that Vandenburg slays!
  10. Ha! Yeah, I have 50H and a 20H. I need to do some tube swaps with the 20H. I am a fan of Mullard 12ax7's with the 50H. I have tried a few different 6L6's with the 50H but right now it has JJ KT66's in there and I digs! Cool. Would love to read your thoughts on different tubes for the 20H, particularly those that increase clean headroom.
  11. I guess I should have rolled my JCA rig into the room too for those shots. Was it not enough? Thanks for the love Yarbicus! No worries! Did Doug send you some amps so that you could try out different tubes? That was my idea. Thoughts on new tubes for the JCA20H? Oh, and my only have two gripes about your pictures: 1. No guitars. You guits are just as awesome! 2. No ducklips.
  12. This is completely ridiculous. Completely ridiculously AWESOME! Best of all, not only does she actually play them, she plays them better than 99.9% of HCAF.
  13. I have been switching between the Rocca's in stereo and the Fortin/Uber and my 5153 in stereo here recently. Here are a few shots from our jam room... Once again, Laura pwns all! You have the most outrageously awesome collection of gear.
  14. Love the OCD. However, it sound different with different amps. But your assessment is largely the same as my own. The Catalinbread DLS would be another worthy choice.
  15. What kind of amp are you playing through? That will make a pretty big difference.
  16. I hear a lot more versatility with the spectrum control. I have a Maxon OD808 I'll compare it against when it arrives. Hey, that would be great! I am just not a TS guy but wouldn't mind a mid gain pedal.
  17. Its got more gain but beyond that........ I was really interested in these as well but came to the same conclusion.
  18. OK, is that horse dead yet? Beyondeleven.com has some great deals on BC Rich in their outlet section. Example BC Rich Assassin Outlaw PX3T Electric Guitar $370.09 (50% off) http://www.beyondeleven.com/BC-Rich-Assassin-Outlaw-PX3T-Electric-Guitar-p/bc-rich-assassin-outlaw-px3t.htm
  19. Dang. I want one of these but keep missing out on them. Oh well.
  20. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=374-100&utm_source=Retail&utm_medium=Email_Newsletter&utm_content=374-100b&utm_campaign=email081811 You can't beat this soldering station for $12! Nice!
  21. Yeah, in reality, if my pedals DIDN'T work with the amp, I would still buy the amp and then replace all of my pedals. The AC30 is just something special.
  22. Great price on a terrific amp! My only concern would be things like pedals. Do you use many of them? ACs can be a bit picky.
