Members Misha III
What is your most comfortable guitar and why? For me it's my Fender MIM Classic 50's Stratocaster because it's light, the shape is comfortable, the weight is balanced. I play mostly sitting and can play for hours without discomfort. Members TheKinks
I know I only have one guitar know but My tele is the most comfortable I have played so far.
Members docjeffrey
This thing is freakishly light--barely 5 pounds--not too neck heavy either. Nice C-shaped neck and low action. I love playing this little SG.
Members xStonr
I really like the light weight SG I have. Easy and comfy to play. I don't play my Strat all that much as I prefer the SG and my Tele, but when I do play it, that tummy cut out is a real pleasure on my recently chubby belly. Members z28talon
My PRS Custom 22 It is the most consistently comfortable and satisfying guitar I've ever played. Light in weight and the neck feels perfect. No flaws. The perfect guitar for me.

Members milosch
The Epi Dot Deluxe is my current favorite. I'm keeping the Les Paul stored for a few days while I reget my act together on the Epi.
Members ESchmidt
I would have to go with my American Standard strat. Ive only had it a day but it plays better than anything Ive ever played before. Its perfect!
Members hotsound327
aw your cat is so cute. My MIM stratocaster is also my most comfortable guitar. Its funny its such a small neck especially for a guy whos 6'4 and has the hands the size of BIG HANDS.
Members NitroGtr
I don't seem to have the comfort issues with LP's that a lot of people have posted about lately, so I have to go with my LP VM. Every time I pick it up it feels as comfortable as an old shoe to me.
Members Misha III
To me, the Strat body is the most comfortable. The Les Paul is not for me physically but I love its sound. I would like to find a guitar that would sound like a Les Paul but fits me better! A Les Paul always seems to slip off my hip. Maybe the SG would be fine??? Members silmaneero
My most comfortable is my Squier Jagmaster. Not my favourite guitar, but the most comfortable. None of my others have a forearm contour and the harder edges dig into my arms. A small price to pay for that Telecaster sound though

Members Brewski
OK - is this a serious question or just subjective. First off - Gibson Les Pauls are not ergonomically designed. the button strap on the single cut makes the strap come too close to your collar bone for confort (hence the weight complaint) the lack of contours on the back and top make the angle for picking uncomfortable for your right forearm (if you play for hours standing up you'll get a rub rash on your right arm. Access to the higher frets are uncomfortable becuase of the neck joint. Les Paul - no a comfortable guitar. Second - Telecaster - Are you kidding me? Same problems are above and it only has 21 frets - completely OUT! Fender Strat - ergonomically much more comfortable. It does have a relatively large neck joint - a good choice but not perfect. PRS - has ergonomics but the edge by your right arm still creates friction on your forearm - good but not perfect. Ibanez RG - argonomically equal to the Strat with a better neck joint. so far the most comfortable guitar in my experiment based on strap location, contours and a better neck joint not to mention it's got 24 frets making it obvioulsy easier to get to the 22nd fret. Members guitarNed
Gibson Blueshawk. * It's light. Smallish, hollow body, sort of* Contoured back.* Narrow easy-going fretboard* looks way cool. causes people to start conversations and buy me drinks* nasty P90-ish sounds infiltrate the mix
Members DonK
I don't play it much, but my EVH Wolfgang Standard has to get the nod for most comfortable. It's a really light and compact guitar, great neck too.

No design is perfect; we've just learned to live with some design problems in the traditional designs that later designs have attempted to address. A lot of this is down to familiarity. I mainly play a Telecaster and having become used to it I don't notice the hard edges, though objectively I would prefer them to be smoother. I don't like the thin Ibanez necks though. Just too thin for my hands. One aspect of the design compromises which had more bad outcome than good for me.
Members whatever
My USA ST-3. It's very well balanced. And the neck seems just right. One thing that is different is the nut is 1 9/16. Just like a vintage SG.
