Members amt7565
Guys- I have been a faithful Ibanez follower for 10 years, but now trying something new. There are 2 nice looking Fender guitars for sale I am considering. Should I get this one: http://dallas.craigslist.org/ftw/msg/1093666203.html or a 2007 model Deluxe strat with 'V' neck and S1 switching that is priced at $800 used. Thanks for any suggestions. Members blueballoon
The first one might allow for a smoother transition from Ibanez to Strat
Members Bro Blue
Either is a great guitar, but I prefer the Lonestar. Good pickups on that one.

Members Noise...
To be honest, if you're set on a Strat, I'd go with an S/S/S setup. Especially if you have a pile of Ibanez guitars with humbuckers.
Members metal0822
yea, what anti said. i would love an hss strat, but i already have an hss epi and an hh epi, so i dont have any single coil bridge pickup guitars except my strat.
Members sk8centilli
I like the Deluxe's rolled edge fretboards, locking tuners, LSR nut and, I'm one of the few fans of, the S1 switch.

Members wagdog
Play 'em, then decide. Seriously, I wouldn't buy a guitar I wasn't familiar with before playing it.

Members hecticone
Played a thinline tele with humbuckers today. Really nice sound and playability.
Members slashfacepalm
OK, I am torn now...Please keep them coming... I'd jump on that strat if I had the money. Craigslist is so cutthroat in the DFW area. I e-mail or call the guy, and he JUST sold it. Out of ALL (a dozen or so) the items I was interested in in the past month, I only managed to get one - and that was this week.

Members billybilly
Truthfully, you will be happy with either one of those. I prefer the pop in trem of the deluxe and it has more bells and whistles. I prefer the neck as well. Some don't like the SCN pickups, and they do lack a little sparkle because they are not true single coils. I prefer the deluxe on a whole but prefer the pickups of the Lonestar. The Lonestar will be grittier and have more true sparkle to boot, however, the package of a V neck deluxe is pretty awesome too. Billy
Members Doctor Morbius
I'd have trouble deciding between those two. I would probably lean toward the newer American Deluxe.

Members amt7565
Is the Deluxe's neck thinner and does it help with faster playing? I have tried the deluxe at GC but never tried the lonestar yet... thx Need to make a decsion within the next hour...
