Members tekbow
So what do people think of the new PRS outline inlays?? i just don't like them.. i get that they're probably harder to route also (maybe) use less material, but there's just something about a line of abalone birds flying down the neck.. Members Les Paul Lover
Just to confuse matters, I saw a PRS the other day with bat inlays - from afar looked just like birds, but they were bats!!! Probably wouldn't want to have them on one of my guitars, but they were pretty neat.

Members Brian May
I much prefer the solid ones on my PRS to the newer ones that are all hollowed out. They're ok but the solid ones are much much nicer. PRS should eventually get the message if the market shows a marked preference.

Members metalheadUK
Just to confuse matters, I saw a PRS the other day with bat inlays - from afar looked just like birds, but they were bats!!! Probably wouldn't want to have them on one of my guitars, but they were pretty neat. Thats the Paul Allender sig SE. My fave PRS inlays are the moons. All them litle birds fluttering about.it looks like a scene out of Snow White.
Members JC777
I like the original birds but I really like the new ones. Once the new wears off, I might miss the older ones. But the new ones are a bit more subtle.
Members JorisBlack
pics added at the top I didn't even know PRS were doing the inlays like that now... IMO both have their flair
Members magnido45
solid bird inlays all the way...
Members Guitar Heel
I like the new ones. But, the ultimate inlay is on the modern eagle. It's got the solid bird in abalone (or something like it) outlined in pearl (or something like it). Best of both, IMO.
Members Orange Jackson
I'm not sure if I like either one, if I had to pick it would be the new hollow ones.
Members Mister Zero
i'm not a fan of large or fancy inlays. if I were gonna get a PRS I'd prolly go w/ moons.
Members tekbow
should i have added moons to the options..? dammit i forgot that there's people out there with an eye for the simple.. sorry..
Members Cap'n'Budda
The old abalone birds were classic, except for the 24th fret "fat pigeon" one. I like the anniversary ones as a change of pace. The new outline ones I'm iffy on.
