Members caveman
Now you can mix and match pickguards and hardware with the guitar body and color of your choice. It'll probably give you GAS but it's a lot more fun than waiting a couple of months for a "what the hell was I thinking" moment. http://www.warmoth.com/CustomBuilders.aspx If it's already been posted. Members tiltsta
Neat. I just messed aroudn with it a bit. The body I want cost 620 bucks. I think I like the thrift shop better. Still, a fun tool to play with.

Members Mazi Bee
It'd be cooler if it popped out an actual JPG mockup of all the guitars. It doesn't do it for Jazzmasters and others. Seems like the preview version on works on strat and tele bodies.
Members nicholai
$701 for my dream strat body, rofl.
Members MrPFloyd
my neck and body came to a total of 1300. they don't even build them for you, you gotta assemble this {censored} yourself too right? hardly worth it imo
Members Northstar
Lame... I asked them if they could make me a no-cutaway Les Paul. No can do... Lame...
Members peskypesky
its pretty awesome, IMO.my loaded body came to $788. alder, sonic blue, parchment pickguard, recessed Wilkinson tremolo, Lindy Fralin pickups.i think it would be a totally bad-ass Strat. Members billybilly
I have no problem with warmoth, very professional with lots of options except... They don't roll fingerboard edges? I think that is crazy. I did my own when I got my neck from them but it doesn't compare with the edges of my MIA strats. I really think with all of their options this is a shortcoming. Members Steadfastly
For a custom built guitar, you are getting quality at a decent price. If you simply want a strat of tele body, GFS, Rondo or eBay will give you a better price but Warmoth are hard to beat on quality.
Members Cyprusg
I've got a question, what about the quality of the wood they offer?
Members Steadfastly
I've got a question, what about the quality of the wood they offer? If you look at the Warmoth site, they have an explanation on each type of wood.
Members tantamo
So, do they actually put the guitar together and set it up also? If not is there someone out there that does this for less than thousands?
Members onelife
my neck and body came to a total of 1300. they don't even build them for you, you gotta assemble this {censored} yourself too right? hardly worth it imo Don't let the numbers get in the way of you having a good guitar. Warmoth is top quality and you can design and build a guitar just the way you want it with their help. They are easy to put together - you can do it yourself and maybe hire a luthier for the final setup. Ultimately I think you would find what you would end up with would have tremendous value to you in the end. I put a tele together with wood form Warmoth a bit more than a year ago. My other guitars are just beginning to come out of their cases now. I did the finish, assembly and setup myself and the whole thing came to about $800. It was just standard tele wood - ash, maple and rosewood.

Members Brother_Budro
I was a little disappointed that when i was done with all my options i didn't get to see a mock-up of it.
Members onelife
I think Warmoth's license agreement with Fender does not allow that. They are not allowed to assemble the guitar or sell kits so you, the buyer have to specify what parts are required to do a complete build.
Members Angry Tele
I know me too!...USACG has one that lets you do it but its way more low tech than Warmoths, which is really cool IMO. If nothing more than for {censored}s and giggles/or ideas. I was a little disappointed that when i was done with all my options i didn't get to see a mock-up of it. Members DaleH
So, do they actually put the guitar together and set it up also? If not is there someone out there that does this for less than thousands? No they sell you the parts. I put my strat together then had the frets dressed, new nut , fret board edges rolled and setup for $150.
