I've never understood the John Mayer hate. He seems like a normal guy to me. I'm sure he can be asshole at times, but if I was famous and had college girls on my jock all day I'd probably be convinced of my superiority as well.

I think it's pretty obvious that the list was not actually made by a real guitar player. Kurt Cobain should never be on any of these lists, love him or hate him he wasn't much of a guitar player and I would dare to say that his guitar playing also wasn't influential. His songwriting maybe, but not his guitar playing. No Chet Atkins or Tommy Emmanuel and then Angus Young barely making the list or some of the things that stand out to me. No Chet Atkins, seriously? The thing I hate about these lists is that they don't even try to be objective.

I suck at knowing if they're fakes or not. Gibson not make a Les Paul Custom with a rosewood neck?

I hate them. They just don't feel like Les Pauls to me. I haven't played all models of chambered Les Pauls obviously so maybe there is a good balance, but the more extreme chambered bodies sound like a muffled semi-hollow.

Game over I am afraid. Damn -etawful beat me to the button! If there is such a thing as a universally ugly headstock, that's it. That design...I just don't understand it.
