  1. The trick with reducing shipping costs is making sure you use the smallest box possible. They figure the cost with not only the wieght but the overall dimensions of the box. I typically use the uline.com guitar boxs which are basically the size of a strat case. 18x6x45. Tall guitars like Explorers and Basses you need the 50" tall box and that makes the price go way up. Shipping to your closest side of the country too is obviously cheaper. I can ship stuff for reasonable prices to anywhere on the east coast, but California, Arizona, etc get expensive. What I do, is I have a free account on FedEx.com. I print up my shipping labels there, and then drop the box off at Kinkos/FedEx. I get a slight discount for using an account. Also, insurance and getting signatures increases the price as well. I've shipped about 50 guitars in the last couple of years and by far FedEx is the cheapest. Shipping usually costs me anywhere between $25 and $40, not including the cost of the box, if I buy them form uline, which adds about 7 bucks to my cost. Also, FedEx owns Kinkos now, so it's not like its a third party store. As long as all you do is drop off a pre-labelled box, there should not be any difference in price if you dropped it off at a FedEx distribution center.
  2. $50 OFF* Purchase of $299 or more guitarcenter.com 8/16/11 – 8/17/11 Use Code: 48HOUR
  3. I'd ask him what he thought of this "authentic" crap: (diaper)
  4. This is a great guitar. Years ago, Mazi and I had a race to see who would buy a Schecter C1 first. I won the race, but he eventually beat me by owning several Schecters. GREAT guitars. Really well-built. Yup. I pulled out my C1 Classic the other day because I was thinking of selling it, but after playing it for a bit, I changed my mind. Such a nice guitar.
  5. Today, 01:02 PM no congrats?!?!? what has gotten into this place. lol :poke:
  6. Yeah, I never give it out, and I explain the "report it stolen" scam if they give me a hard time about it. I will give out the first few numbers for year verification, but they don't really have any right to know the whole number until they buy it.
  7. I don't know, is it rated to repel {censored}sauce? Ok, you'll want to upgrade to the {censored}sauce repellent model, or for $19.99 you can get a can of {censored}sauce Repellent Spray, enough to treat up to 5 ponchos!
  8. My latest good dealings: A+ for all of em. HanSolo jdr94 Furtive RUExp? K-Bizzle abracadaver
  9. It a Jackson DXMGT, I used to have one just like it. Great guitar, and the EMG pickups are fine, don't let someone talk you into replacing them unless you yourself don't like them. They are the same thing as an 85, just passive, not active, and there are made in the USA right along side the other EMGs and I personally thing they sound fine, and I have many other guitars with active EMGs as well.
  10. These are on ebay ending Monday night. If any one is interested, make an offer this weekend. Thanks. This is a nice body from a made in japan 1987 Charvel Model 4. A nice fire engine red color. It's got some dings and dents and some scratches on the back, but overall in very nice cosmetic condition. The strap button on the end was moved down a little bit and the old hole was filled and finshed in a red matching color. You can see it a bit when looking right at it, but it blends in pretty good and of course a guitar strap will cover it up as well. Please see the photos. This takes one humbucker and two single coil sized pickups and 3 on/off mini toggle switches in place of the usual 3 or 5 way switch. Mini-toggles are great for interesting switching options. Original strap buttons and trem claw are included as pictured. I have the pickups available separately if interested. Shipping to USA lower 48 states only, Paypal only. I will not ship anywhere else, no exceptions. Shipping is by FedEx ground, fully insured.
  11. Damn you're fast Mazi! I was in the process of bannination and you swooped in before I was done!!!! Wasn't me. Unless I've gotten so good at it I did it with my mind without knowing....
  12. Yeah, I have a buddy who buys all these guitars, then loses interest right away and flips em for a profit. I wish I could be more like that. I lose interest and then just stick em in the closet and then get around to selling them a couple years later.
  13. It's only 77.85% fake. The rest is all genuine.
  14. Loaded Seymour Duncan DiMarzio Pickguard $175 plus shipping, which will be about $10. Will consider trades for a looper pedal. Bridge: Seymour Duncan TB12 George Lynch Screamin' Demon. Middle: DIMARZIO DP116 HS-2 Neck: DIMARZIO DP116 HS-2 Schaller 5 Way Megaswitch Vol and Tone push/pull pots Pickguard cut to fit a Floyd Rose Strat. Not a professional job, pretty much just put the pickups in there to sell them as a pre-wired set, and it was the only pickguard I had laying around. The pickups are pre-wired and ready to go, just hook up the output wires and the trem grounding wire. Those are cut a bit short, so you may need to extend them. Pickups are as follows, the bridge is a Seymour Duncan trembucker-spaced TB12 George Lynch Screamin' Demon. Great sounding pickup. From the seymour duncan site: TB12 application Moderate output, P.A.F.-style with added "growl." Great for classic rock, jazz-rock fusion, heavy rock and aggressive instrumental rock. Four Conductor, resistance: 10 k, Alnico V Magnet description This pickup was designed in the Custom Shop for guitar legend George Lynch. It has the big open sound of our '59 ModelTM with a little less bite and a little more growl. The tone is big, percussive with a defined treble response that doesn't get harsh. It uses one row of allen screws and one row of standard slotted screws for a unique "airy" sound. Comes with four-conductor hookup cable. In the neck and mid position we have the DIMARZIO DP116 HS-2 in both positions. From the DiMarzio Site: 4-conductor, Alnico 5, 14.97k DC REsistance. The HS-2
  15. WANTED: Single Jackson branded tuning peg. Doesn't have to be jackson branded but needs to match this style. So if you have an incomplete set let me know. they look like this: I also have a full set of reverse Jackson tuning pegs I'd trade for a full regular set. Thanks.
  16. WANTED: Jackson JT-6 Trem, cheap. (The ones that came on the 1986 Charvel Model series) Let me know if you have one you want to get rid of. Thanks!
  17. If you weren't a mod, I might point out the fallacy of that statement: But, since you are a mod -- carry on! opps, sorry about that. Didn't mean to say the "pre" part.

  19. You're a terrible person, Mazi. A very terrible person.
  20. Oh absolutely, I love the Ping system; had one in a Mexi Double Fat Strat that I used for years; the block on it was huge and the trem was as stable as anything i've used. I was just being a pedant Enjoy the NGD, it's a beaut
  21. That is gorgeous; I love the colour of that body. Btw, I think that's a Ping Floyd Rose, not an OFR. It's still OFR specs though, actually better, it has a solid brass trem block, not that zinc crap that comes on the OFR.
