Members Karma1
I bought one of those back in the 70's after my Strat was stolen. It was a cherry sunburst with rosewood board and the music store owner gave me a killer deal on it. It was a decent guitar, but I was too much of a Fender player back then and eventually traded it in for a Tele. But its too bad the reissue has the 490/498 pickups. The original L6-S had hot humbuckers with chrome covers and no visible pole pieces that were custom designed for that guitar by Bill Lawrence and made it a bit more distinctive. Members ej
At least Marauders look cool. The L6S looks like a LP that ate too much.
Members Lemon Crush
Cool guit. Not $1700 cool though. Wanted one a few years ago after I saw a video of Prince playing one. Couldn't find one to try though.

Members harold heckuba
I have had two of them, the cheaper one called the "Midnight Special" was more to my liking. I dont think this reissue is gonna sell, too pricey. In fact, it would seem to me to be a model better suited under the Epiphone label (as would a Marauder). Members jhorne
If I were going to get an all maple Gibson, I'd probably opt for this one instead: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/gibson-limited-run-335-s-solidbody-electric-guitar/h71181000001000 And it's a few hundred less... Members ashasha
[video=youtube;I13NT_mQrvs] [video=youtube;pq6jT0dGyC4] I saw one in the for sale forum a few weeks ago and since I'm a big Bill Lawrence fan as well as Gibson lover I was interested. Haven't decided how I feel about it; not sure it covers any ground that I feel I'm lacking.

Members deadllama
I've always much preferred the looks of the L-5S (but not the one with the hideous low impedance pickups): This thing reminds me of the Firebird X:
