Members GAS Man
At $855 they're certainly not giving it away, but I like the features (except SE p'ups - generally - but sometimes they're good) Prefer Silver? From Sweetwater: "A real looker The PRS SE Hollowbody Ltd is a real looker! Let's take a look at the top: Silver Sparkle, for catching eyes onstage. Then, your eyes will likely be drawn to those famous PRS bird inlays that adorn the ebony fretboard. The bound headstock gives a classy touch to this already unique guitar. And one other cool appointment not found on any SE model - a Bigsby tailpiece. Vintage modern vibe Bringing a new spin to the PRS SE line the SE Hollowbody Ltd combines the vibe of the old world with the modern touches of today. For starters, the Bigsby tremolo gives a cool, smooth old school feel while the locking tuners ensure tuning stability not possible decades ago. The chambered, semi-hollowbody body offers warm tones not found in solidbody guitars while the SE Hollowbody Ltd pickups dish out killer tones from clean to scream. PRS quality All Paul Reed Smith guitars are designed for top-notch performance, right out of the case and the SE Hollowbody Ltd is no exception. Constructed from top-notch tonewoods and components, PRS instruments carry on a commitment to quality that's been the brand's hallmark since 1985, when Paul Reed Smith himself started hand-building guitars for some of the most elite players in the world. Members sxyryan
I don't like PRS, nor sparkly finishes. But I can't begin to express my want for that second one. Holy cow. I'd slap some covered humbuckers in there and play the hell out of it.
Members BryanMichael
That is really something daring for PRS! I love everything about it....except for the bird inlays. I find the old "moon" inlays to be understated elegance!

Members hardtdc
Those are sharp. Some nickel covered buckers on that silver one would look awesome.
Members Alecto
Those are sharp. Some nickel covered buckers on that silver one would look awesome. Hell yeah. I'm pretty much a Fender guy but that guitar is seriously tempting!:love:

Members w00dsy
do not want. The sparkly finish kinda works against the vintage vibe they are giving off. I see sparkly and i think Hannah Montana Daisy guitars or the Orianthi model. It's almost like it's trying to be a modern and vintage guitar all in one. Members Felix_Unger
Pretty cool. One thing about PRS that bugs me is that the serial numbers are written with a Sharpy on top of the clear coat vice being burned into the wood. I suppose that's to prevent people from having non-PRS shops repair guitars and finishes. Seems dirty and cheap.
Members gorebuc
Dot inlays and Filtertrons of some sort would make the red one a winner.
Members Deadbeat Son
I love sparkle finishes, but this guitar gives me no gas.
Members Will Chen
Not a fan of sparkle finishes, nor bird inlays, nor PRS' f-hole deisgn. To me the f-hole looks like it should be mounted with the thinner portion pointing upwards towards the neck.
Members GCDEF
Doesn't do anything for me. The Bigsby looks like it's too far back also.
Members RaVenCAD
The best part about either of those is the sparkle.. The rest = failure on an epic scale.. F-holes and Bigsbies, oddball shaped pickguards, painted cutaway, ick... Not for me!
Members fixintogo
A pair of TV Joneses would spruce that right up.
Members GAS Man
A pair of TV Joneses would spruce that right up. Indeed, that would be stellar. Especially on the Silver Sparkle

Members Verne Andru
I'm generally not a prs fanboi as I find they tend toward the poseur. That said, of their lineup I like the hollowbody II the best - that's the one with a piezo bridge - but at $3400+ they are silly expensive. This SE model could have been a nice alternative, but the slab body just doesn't do it for me. At $855 there are lots of nicer designed and made guitars by dozens of vendors. Members Spudro
It reminds me a lot of the old Kustom Guitars of the 60's.
Members Zappa74
Why do some companies use black pickup rings and then NOT use black screws in them? Such a small thing, but so dumb.
