Members Cobalt Blue
A well done burst is a work of art. A poorly done burst is {censored}. This is a good point. Rickenbacker went through a period of producing some extremely gaudy bursts, but the person who applies the burst now is excellent, and the bursts are beautiful now. Members krish
I'm not a massive fan of sunburst generally, but most other bursts I don't have a massive problem with most of the time (love my blue burst Les Paul)Fireglo on the other hand, sits with me just fine. Members nevermind
I think ya'll should visit reranch ASAP. They may be able to help you take care of the mismatched paint Also, don't be afraid to let them sit in the sun....nothing more glorious than a burst that fades to amber/honey

Members Texas Noise Factory
I hate bursts in general about as much as red guitars. For me the only way I break this rule is when the sound coming from the instrument is absolutely glorious. Well, and Silverburst, but I don't think that counts really. Currently, I've got one burst that is a G&L LB100 bass. Oh, and a red burst Dano baritone that I can only play with my eyes closed. Ha!

I THOUGHT that this meant you hated burstbuckers (and I wondered why, too).
