Members Brian Krashpad
I really don't need a 6th bass. BUT a seller on cl was selling a '70 Aria 1720 for next to nothing, w/typical period chipboard case. Too good to pass up. MIJ Mosrite copy! Seller's pix: Matsumoku BAYBEE! Thanks, being a Ramones fan I've always wanted something in the Mosrite family, since Johnny played a Mosrite guitar. I didn't expect to ever buy a Mosrite-y bass, but that's the cool thing about craigslist, ya never know what's going to pop up.

Members Brian Krashpad
That was a great purchase. CongratsThanks, I'm pretty sure sure I could sell it for a couple bills easily, if not more, which would be a good profit, but frankly it's too cool to sell. And I'm not even playing bass in any of my bands right now. Members JoeBoy
My Uncle was a Pro Country Bass Player in Nashville back in the 60s. He had a Mosrite Bass that looked close to yours. It had no truss rod. He detuned it every time after he used it.

Members Brian Krashpad
Thanks kids. Was lucky that the seller was a keyboardist. He had never even heard the term "lawsuit (or "pre-lawsuit") guitar." Kinda didn't know what he had. Eventually I'll probably replace the Gibby-style speed knobs. From web pics the originals look like they sorta resembled black Strat knobs with "VOL" and "TONE" on them.

Members Brian Krashpad
Congrats Brian. Is it a short scale? Thanks. Funny you should mention that, I was playing it momentarily a little while ago and thought it might be. Just checked, best info I can find is that it's 30.5" scale, so for a bass yes I reckon that is short scale. Perfect for my elfin stature.

Members Brian Krashpad
Thanks BB, Alan, and ESPECIALLY FRETLESS. Alan, I still have both kidneys but seem to be missing a tonsil and 20 lymph nodes. However I'm pretty sure I was already missing those.
