Members linusâ„¢
as soon as i decide where i should buy wood from my wheels will be rolling.. though i think i'm starting with something a little less challenging, like a tele.
Members fretmonster
finished with the electronics cavity and switch cavity. i used the same method for the switch cavity... forstner bit and then router... next i am ready to do the back plates route... but then i realize these new templates are calling for a router bit i don't own. so that's it for tonight. i have to get a new router bit.. so here's the progress for this evening... Damn, you're sure doin it and that's some really purty Mahogany. You go boy.

Members GuitarNoobie
my red dye came in today so i thought i would do just a little more testing before gluing the carved top on...based on the pic i designed i think i gotta go a little darker... Members GuitarNoobie
this is closer to what i am after.... by the time i lay down a coat of black and then sand it back (this is done to bring out the flame more) and then add this shade of red it's gonna be close... Members ihavenofish
coming out really nice. i still have to vote for the blue though. haha. for those curious, the top on this is eastern red maple as opposed to hard sugar maple. the are very similar, but aparently the red maple has better figuring and obviously takes water based dyes very well. (i talked to my wood supplier this morning, who is also bartlets supplier as it turns out. ill be using this red maple on my kits i think)
Members newbuilder
I was really wanting to go back to the blue on Zemmy's LP, but that dark red is the ticket on this one. Looks really nice...I would love to own a...what is this thing? You gotta come up with a name for your guitars.

Members superflyinmonke
if you add up ALL the guitars you want then for sure, but I have close to $2000 invested in tools Absolutely, because I have about $5000 invested in guitars... Not to mention the 7 large in amps. I need to figure some of this {censored} out...Another vote for red. I think that when I do mine, I'll bind the back too, but make it an axcess back and neck pocket style.I'm loving this build.

Members JWBlues
Looking great! You may want to consider something like this...http://www.zionguitars.com/gallery.asp?pic=Primera_DragonsBreath.jpg DragonsBreath is one of my favorite Zion finishes. I almost went with it, but decided on Silverburst with this Primera.
